Well I was excited but it was short lived. I bought this pinpointer and when I turned it on it just beeped in second intervals. I sent this back to DetectorPro and they sent me a new one fast. This one works fine at the moment, but the quality of these things is cheap. My new pinpointer has some type of sloppy glue around the buttons and the speaker hole which leaves me questioning the waterproof ability. Do yourself a favor, don't buy. -

Perfect for my needs. I live in a high mineral state and it gets the job done in the water. Same for beach searching. Very pleased with my purchase -

Bought for backup for an existing one.
Have had an existing one for about 3 years and it works GREAT. Just what I want. -

I bought this pinpointer from Kellyco last year and it has been everything I hoped it would be. It's been underwater, covered in mud, dropped on the pavement, and left in my car no matter the temp. Works flawlessly every time. The bright yellow color helps to identify it. You can change the mode to beep, vibrate, or both. The only draw back? It uses Pulse Technology, so you can't have your detector, or any metal object, within a foot of it. I use wireless headphones on land so it's no big deal and I turn the pinpointer off when detecting. I use my Garrett as a backup. -

The pin pointer works okay... but I have to turn down the volume on my Minelab Excalibur 2 because every time I turn on the pointer my detector goes crazy with some type of feedback. It's a real hassle to always remember to turn volume down before using... I don't have this problem with my Garrett. I bought this because my other pin pointers are not waterproof to use in wet sand or ocean water. But when I use it and have my headphones on I cannot hear it making any noise. It does come with a light that flashes if you're on target but just can't hear it or feel the vibe. I am sorry I bought this pin pointer... I tried to save a few bucks but wish I had gone with one of the other ones.

Q: I recently had to get a Pacemaker implant and ( it sits above my left shoulder blade) So, I’m wondering if a pulse technology type pointer might interact with it and send me into a bad orbit. Do you have any knowledge about this type of situation?!! Thanks for any advice. Cheers Lee McLaughlin
A:Some technology can have a effect on pacemakers. To get the most accurate answer, I would contact the manufacturer directly so that they can provide better insight based on facts from their engineers.
