Silver Spoons Metal Detecting Finds

My 9-year-old son and I were able to metal detect an old farmstead a few miles from us. He was using his Minelab GO-FIND 20 metal detector and I was using my Garrett AT Pro. I had a strong silver quarter signal and ended up digging a spoon up. I checked the hole again and thought I got fooled since it wasn’t a quarter. I ended up finding another spoon and two more pieces of spoons. Unbelievably, they are all sterling silver, and with the markings, I know they were made in 1904 by the Gorham Silver Company. We are planning on going back there again soon.
