My First Gold Coin

I have been using a metal detector since 1976. This was the first gold coin I've ever found! While detecting a vacant lot that had just been scrapped, I decided to check where the sidewalk had been removed. Detecting in Iron Audio mode with my Garrett AT PRO, I got a clear mid-tone signal next to a buried rusty pipe, about 4 inches down. When I dug the target, there it was! My first gold coin! A 1903-s Liberty Head $5 Half-Eagle in pristine condition!
