I like the features and the waterproof rating of this PP but a few things make it a bit more hard to like at times.....
- the pointer never achieves the solid audible tone of contact with your target
- other than seeing the lighted indicator for reading your charge level, you could be stuck in the field with a dead unit potentially. Needs to have a 9 v battery backup
- to remove the tip is very hard to twist and release, you almost feel as if you are going to break it
Overall, not a bad system and certainly works well. I would love to see an external battery LED battery meter and ability if you fail to charge properly a 9 v backup or even two AA system. -

I've been using my PulseDive, on land, for about a month and really like it's size and functionality. I can't really say the holster, that comes with the unit, is the best, but with some vintage bomber jacket leather, I was able to fashion an easier access holster. The problem lies in the edge of the protective cover over the search probe. It catches on the holster and requires a 2-handed retrieval. A distraction when a target has been found and it's time to dig. Not unmanageable, but less than desirable. One more small point, this PP doesn't go to a steady tone when in contact with the target. It beeps faster as you get closer, but it never goes to full tone upon direct contact with target like other PP's. All considered, I think this is a great PP that will stand up to some rigorous field work.
