Exclusively from Kellyco, the Striker z60.
The z60 was born out of a desire for an ultra-lightweight detector with ease of use, accuracy, and quick recovery.
The Striker z60 is purpose built for fun, and here’s how—
AAA batteries(not included) means it’s always ready; no proprietary batteries which are expensive to replace and never charged when you want to hunt.
Easy to ground balance, so easy in fact that we named it Ground Grab. The z60 grabs on to the soil’s unique mineralization signature, tempers those spectral bumps, adjusts on the fly and never lets go.
This colorful detector accurately categorizes iron, foil, nickel, pull tabs, bottle caps, zinc, dimes, and quarters- for real! It hunts fast.
Built for speed the Striker has excellent recovery and hunts faster than any entry level detector ever built.
Striker set out to build a real world detector made for the curious hunter without the burden of having to learn every step of metal detecting before they get started. The z60 hits its stride on the road; it’s compact and ready to travel. Stopping at your campsite, the RV park, a rest stop? Grab your z60, Ground Grab and Go. Save time digging trash with the z60's easy discrimination providing accurate results in seconds. Metal detecting is a bit like running, if you’re out of practice a 1/4 mile jog is exhausting, same with swinging a big heavy detector (the batteries are likely dead anyway) but the Striker is extremely lightweight, 2 lbs 10.6 ounces, an hour of casual hunting and your arm retains all feeling! It’s waterproof from the control box down, puddles, creeks, and shallow water are no problem!

Review by Jeff M on April 27, 2021I upgraded or what I felt was a huge upgrade in quality and fiction. I went from a gofind 44 to the striker detector and what a huge difference it made in my finds! I hunt the beaches where I live in FL and this has been a great detector for me! It searches fast, its lightweight and there is nothing to rust. The coil is sealed and the ground grab function is a must have going from dry to wet sand or vise versa. You can not buy a better detector for a lower price!
Review by CJ in Texas on December 9, 2020WOW! What an awesome metal detector. Knowing this is a beginner metal detector, I didn't have high expectations of its performance, but MAN was I surprised. Not only did it perform well, but it was easy enough for my teenage grandson to use without much instruction. I highly recommend this metal detector.
Review by Stephen - Southern Relics on December 2, 2020The Striker z60 is a great beginner metal detector. It has some awesome features such as the 4-tone coin mode. This is great when coin shooting. One can keep their eyes on where they are walking and swinging the coil and the tones will give them the information they need regarding what is under the soil. The pinpoint function works fantastic as well; it is very accurate.
It is light weight, and the controls are simple to use and understand. If you are considering getting into the hobby, you can't go wrong with this one!
The second time I used it, I found a STERLING SILVER ring with a beautiful blue stone in it! It was between 3-4 inches in the ground and it indicated that it was a Zinc penny/dime. This detector works best when you swing it slow, and it will surprise you at how well it performs!
This detector will do very well for the beginner who is considering to get in the great hobby of metal detecting!!
Review by E. Reed on November 30, 2020I took the Striker Z60 out yesterday to see what it could do. Being an advanced detectorist I knew that an entry-level machine would have its limitations. However, the Z60 surprised me, proving to be a formidable detector in its class, as well as being incredibly simple to operate. I was detecting a wooded area in Virginia with known colonial history, and a 2-3 inch thick blanket of leaves above the soil. I was expecting to have to kick leaves aside in order for the Z60 to get close enough to the soil in order to detect the 6-8 inch-deep relics. That wasn't the case! The Z60 sniffed out item after item, through the leaves. The prize being an awesome mid-late 1700s flat tombac button! If the Z60 can find relics through 2-3 inches of leaves, I can only imagine how well it could perform in a park or on a beach!
Review by Ethan M on November 18, 2020As a first time detectorist, I was happy with how easy it was to use. The Ground Grab technology and the whole machine was simple to understand. Picked up a few coins in the backyard on my first try. Dug some test holes and it performed well. Going to test it in the creek next weekend.

Q: How deep does this detector go in regards to finding coins?A: Hello, in clean non heavily mineralized soil it should hit on a quarter at 9-10 inches.

Q: Can you use this in shallow beach water.? This would be for a 38 year old. ?A: Hello, the coil is waterproof but not the control box so you would want to keep the water level at about 2 feet and not much more.

Q: I'm looking for a detector for my 7 year old son who is about 50" tall. Could this detector be adjusted to work for someone his height? Thanks! CheyanneA: Hello Cheyanne, this machine can absolutely be adjusted to fit someone of his height. It is fully adjustable, and when fully together if it is still to tall, you can remove the middle rod of the shaft and get the perfect length for him. Thank you for your inquiry!

Q: I'm looking for a metal detector, not expensive, to help locate property markers. One marker has been located by my neighbor, now I'm wanting to locate the rest. I do know it is anywhere from 8"-9" deep and marker top looks like a coin, not a regular rebar type. Where needing to locate, there is some barb wire about 4" from ground around where the marker might be. Would the Striker have a problem locating the marker or will it hit on the barb wire? Thanks in advanceA: The Striker should be able to locate the marker. I would check the marker that you found and also check it on the barb wire with the detector. You may be able to discriminate the barb wire out if they are different readings.

Q: Can the z60 detect raw (natural) gold?A: The Z60 only operates at 7.8kHz in order to find raw gold, you would need a detector that starts at 18kHz.

Q: Where is the Striker z60 made?A: The Striker Z60 is made in China.
Posted On: 2/13/2021 By: Mark Thorson
Q: I started detecting 30 years ago and I have bought 5 or 6 machines from you in the past 20-25 years. My detectors are about 8 years old and older, so they are not the most up to date so to speak. It has been about 8 years since I did any detecting. I am in my 70's and I am wanting to get back in the "coin hunting" field. It sounds like the Striker Z60 would be a pretty good fit?A: The Striker Z60 would be a good choice to get back into the hobby at a great price.

Q: Good afternoon!! Do you send this Striker Z60 detector to Brazil? If so, how much is the freight? Thankful, AlexandreA: At this time, due to manufacturer restrictions, we are not shipping most products outside the US. Some of our professional machines, like OKM units, are shipping outside the US. We apologize for the inconvenience but need to respect the manufacturers requests.

Q: What other size coil is available for the Striker Z60 ?A: At this time, there are not any additional coils available.

Q: Is the control box weatherproof?A: No the coil is only waterproof.

Q: Depth. Max of detector??????????A: Most people contact us to know the depth a metal detector can go. There are a lot of factors that play a part in depth. Most hobby detectors are VLF (very low frequency) and the depth depends on the soil conditions and the target size. When it comes to hobby detectors, we like to safely say the size of the coil is about how deep it will go. For example an 11 inch coil will typically pick up targets at 11 inches.

Q: I am surprised...why is there no information on what the Kz is: such as 6.0 or 7.5 or..... what is it please?A: It is 7.8 kHz.

Q: What frequency does the detector use and what other coils are available to use with this model? I want a detector for my grandson to use while I hunt with my Garrett AT pro without interference when we get too close together. Thanks Guys!A: It is 7.8 kHz.
