Knoxville, TN June 10, 2021, Kellyco, one of the oldest metal detecting retailers in the world, announces that Mark Tymensky has been appointed to the position of President to drive strategic growth. Tymensky joined Kellyco in June 2008 and has been promoted through a number of positions throughout every department in the company.
“With Mark’s business acumen and experience in the industry, he is uniquely positioned to take Kellyco to new heights,” said Jeremy Floyd Kellyco’s Chairman of the Board. “He is an asset not only to Kellyco but to the metal detecting industry as a whole. I don’t know many people that have as many industry relationships the world over.”
Tymensky is being promoted from Vice President of Affiliate and Vendor relations. He trained under the founder, Stu Auerbach, and later Jeremy Floyd. Soon after taking over the company in 2018, Floyd promoted Tymensky to director of purchasing and later to the VP role in 2020.
“Taking the helm has been a dream of mine since the early days when Stu and I had long talks about his vision of where this company could go,” said Tymensky. “I’m excited to lead that company and fulfill that vision. Stu and Jeremy have been great mentors, and have set me up to catapult our success.”
Floyd, who acquired Kellyco in May 2022 with his wife Dorry, will be stepping out of the day to day operations and serving as Chairman of the Board.
