Are there any beaches in Florida that prohibit metal detectors

You cannot detect beaches that are labeled "private", any beach that is part of a state park, Saint Augustine, Vero Beach and Port Canaveral. There may be some additional restrictions and I would check with your local and city governments so you are aware of the laws regarding metal detecting.
