Whites Treasure Pro

Review by Andrea on August 20, 2019

My husband got this for me. I love it. Easy to handle. I have wanted a metal detector for years and this is the one he chose. I haven't been able to use it much yet, I hope to find treasures in the near future. Thank you.

works great so far

Whites Treasure Pro

Review by Bob D. on July 25, 2019

I finally had a chance to take the Treasure Pro out today it works very well. Nicely balanced and not too heavy. I’m still learning how to use it but I did find the coins I placed to test it. Next week I’ll take it to the beach. With some luck I might find something. Time will tell but I am happy with the purchase.

It does what is says!

The pin-pointer on it is nice, overall it delivered ! I haven’t had the chance to use it but once in my yard and so far i like it.

If You are Not Using White's New Treasure Pro, You Could be Missing a lot of Coins

Review by Ron on August 22, 2016

When I leave to hunt old home sites in northern Oklahoma, I reach for White's Treasure Pro. It is light weight and easy to use. Don't waste your time on metal detectors that are heavy and hard to use. I used to worry about battery power, but this new detector uses two "AA" batteries. They are easy to carry and last for twenty hours. You can't beat that!

Impressive Features for the Price. A Definite Keeper!

Review by Jimboreebop on April 30, 2016

As a guy who needs the best in gadgetry of any kind, I was a little apprehensive to think a $370 detector could provide a real 'professional' treasure hunting experience. I'm familiar with White's stuff and have always liked their detectors but I'm usually at the $700-$1500 level.

I was really surprised to see what this little machine offers. I don't know of any other detector in its class that has true automatic GB with tracking, a backlit display, threshold hunt, VDI numbers, a real all metal mode (that will still ID a target with VDI - just like the higher end White's so it should make for a respectable, affordable relic machine) and a number of other features that put it way ahead of it's class.

The touch-pad interface is exceptionally laid out and logical. It's also rain-friendly. Display is big and bold and is backlit with a nice, evenly lit light. Runs on 2, count 'em 2! AA batteries! And White's claims 20 hours of run time with a set of 2 alkalines. That is awesome. I can find battery money for this in no time now...

The stock 10" DD coil is a lot of coil for the price point of this machine too. Air tests were at 9.5" on a quarter with Sens set to 7. Max sens is 8 and it was chattery but in all fairness, I was indoors.

My only complaint is the quality of the tones. They sound a little 'cheap' for lack of a better way of describing it. I wish they tighten up the tones to sound a little more staccato and analog and not so digital and "nasally". Also, I'm not sure if it's EMI but at times, if you're hunting with a threshold, the threshold volume will 'swell' when you swing the coil making you think it's a low-tone indicator. I have my T-Pro set to 2 tones. But, it doesn't take long to get used to that behavior.

All in all, it's a great little machine and an excellent backup or buddy detector. I'm keeping it and getting rid of my other backup detector, because compared to the T-Pro it now feels like a toy.
