Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II Metal Detector
with 8" Open Search Coil Plus FREE Metal Detecting & Treasure Hunting Accessories

Ideal for Beaches, Lakes, Oceans, and all Waterways. The Sea Hunter has been The Master of Water Treasure Hunting for over 25 years. With it’s unique Discrete Trash Elimination technology, the Sea Hunter Mark II can eliminate most pull tabs and foil without significantly degrading the sensitivity of rings and coins in Discrete Elimination mode. A favorite detector for treasure hunters around the world because of it’s ability to ignore salt water, the Sea Hunter’s electronic housing can be mounted on the hip or above, below or under the cuff in either short or long configuration.

If you want a submersible PI detector that really discriminates, look no further than the Sea Hunter Mark II. In Addition to providing standard discrimination, the Sea Hunter Mark II boasts a unique Discrete Elimination mode which enables it to discriminate unlike any other PI manufactured. Gone are those pesky pull tab signals when you’re trying to find rings. The Sea Hunter ignores a lot of trash that plagues conventional PI detectors and can find treasure at depths other submersibles can’t reach. Good to 200 feet!

Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II Metal Detector

Sea Hunter LogoSea Hunter FaceFor over fifteen years, beachcombers and professional divers have chosen the Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II Metal Detector as their go-to device for treasure hunting under the water. Since its introduction over a decade ago, Garrett has continuously upgraded the Sea Hunter Mark II to include the some of the most advanced features found in an under water metal detector.

The sturdy construction of this device is built to take the rigors of ocean and sea metal detecting while being comfortable to use with a mounted hip and a long stem. The stem can adapt to any sandy, salty, or wet environment with four different stem configurations including the long stem stem with top, hip and under cuff stem mounts as well as the short stem ScubaMate for underwater searches. It's so sturdy that it can detect in depths of up to 200 feet below the surface!

Sea Hunter UnderwaterWhat makes the Sea Hunter Mark II stand out is its Pulse Induction technology that allows the device to ignore iron and salt water mineralization. In fact, the Sea Hunter Mark II is the only Pulse Induction metal detector that can disregard the appearance of pull tabs, foil, mineralized ballast stone and some iron while still being overtly sensitive to coins and rings. It eliminates trash by using through Standard BI discrimination and Garrett's exclusive Discrete Trash Elimination Mode.

10x14 Search CoilTo get the best out of the Sea Hunter Mark II for underwater metal detecting, Garrett recommends the Super Deep 10" x 14" Pulse Induction Coil. This search coil was designed by Garrett to detect in depths up to 200 feet. It is perfect for finding coins, rings and other treasures. The best part is that there are no special connectors or tools needed to attach it to the Garret Sea Hunter Mark II. Just plug it in and go!

Sea Hunter GraphThe graph depicted to the left displays the typical responses from metals in both trash elimination modes. Setting the Sea Hunter Mark II to a discrimination setting of eight, all metals above Nickels in Standard (Std) mode and above Pulltabs in Discrete (Dis) mode are detectable. This demonstrates how the enhanced power of the Sea Hunter Mark II rejects and eliminates trash while still being able to detect good targets.

I must say this metal detector is one of the best on the market for the money. It is very easy to use and sensitive to gold. It is quick to setup and great for SCUBA divers and land users. I highly recommend this detector.

One of Garrett's Best Detectors

Review by Aenon J on March 16, 2015

Garrett Sea Hunter Mark ll is one of my favorite machines. I have found a lot of rings, knives and clad over the years I have hunted with it. It is a deep PI detector. I will tell you I had to dig to China to uncover someone's case of beer they buried. My two best finds with it so far are a 10k 10 diamond wedding band worth $1600.00, a switchblade knife appraised at $230.00 and several other gold and silver rings and jewelry, along with lots of clad. I love my Sea Hunter.

Just received it last week, I absolutely love this detector. Water proof yes, Intend to SCUBA with this item. Tried it out on local beaches, WOW! This thing finds absolutely everything that has trace metals. Also it rings out loud and clear. I'm not a deep digger but this thing might change my mind. I've had multiple deep hits that I gave up on after approx. 12" - 18". Can't wait till my beach scoop gets here. This machine is over the top. Superior value.

Happy with It

Review by Jim O on January 14, 2014

I bought this TYPE of detector because I like to scuba dive and expect it will be a fun hobby. But initially I bought it because I needed to find two property pins that were set in the early 70's in an area with some very heavy vegetation. The cost of pin location was $150 per pin by a "professional service" and I found them both within an hour! Finding these two "missing pins" allowed me to then lay in the boundary lines with a compass and saved me another $400! So now I've already recovered 1/2 of what I spent on the detector (pins alone) and still have it to explore UW treasure hunting! It seems well built and worked great for my limited usage. I'll write another review when I've had more time to dive with it. No telling what you might find under the docks of a marina if you can get permission to look!

Garrett Sea Hunter ll

Review by Tom R on December 23, 2013

Had many Garrett Detectors over the past 45 years (BFO FIRST). All were great detectors. Now I have the Garrett Sea Hunter and AT Pro. I use the Sea Hunter mainly for the beach, it is the best and can't be beat. Do you ask how deep is sometimes too deep? 10-14 inches for a paper clip today 12/18/13 and 23 coins. It is built like a tank, made of real metal (lol). I also carry the Ace 350 in my car at all times, you never know.
