White's Spectra V3i Metal Detector

White's Spectra V3i Metal Detector

Product Review (submitted on July 10, 2015):
I've had many detectors over the years. My first was a White's Coinmaster. Then I traded that for an Eagle Spectrum. Used that for many years along with the top machines from Fisher, Minelab and Tesoro. It seemed that I always went back to White's over time.

I am now using, for land hunting, the White's V3i. It is by far the most advanced detector for sale today. Yes, there are menus and it is a machine that requires practice to use effectively. Once you get the machine's programming down, it is one very capable metal detector. A detector that can often beat the best of the others.

I use the 5.3 coil for much of the hunting I do. I also like the 950 V rated coil. I also have the Ultimate 13 inch coil and the 10 x 12 SEF. Not sure which coil I want to keep yet. All three are excellent coils. Each has it's advantages and some deficiencies.

The V3i is more adjustable than the E-Trac. It also gives a more accurate picture of the information that is needed to decide to dig or not. Better more accurate info than the E-Trac or the Fisher F75 LTD 2. The V3i is an excellent all around machine. You can adjust it to hunt just about anywhere. It is complicated but after a while, it becomes second nature to set it up correctly.

If you think this detector is too complicated for you, then it is. But if you know that you can learn how to use this machine the right way, it usually cannot be beat by most any other detector out today.
