White's GMT Metal Detector
- Product Review (submitted on February 4, 2015):
- I have owned several White's metal detectors capable of finding gold. They were the 4000 D, 6000 DI Pro, and the Goldmaster Series 2. They all did an excellent job of finding gold, went fairly deep, and could pinpoint precisely. I paid for these machines many times over with the gold they found for me. Now I own the GMT, which is an excellent machine. It will locate pieces of gold almost too small to even worry about, detect very deep, and will almost eliminate the chore of digging iron. There are almost too many good things about it to mention here. BUT... this machine cannot pinpoint anything! It does not even have a pinpointing program! It takes forever to locate a small gold nugget and requires digging a large hole and detecting for the target by the handfuls of dirt. Forget trying to pinpoint a coin in a park, the size of hole you must dig would get you kicked out in nothing flat! White's... what were you thinking by not putting pinpointing capability on your best gold machine??? Huge mistake!!!
