Minelab E-TRAC Metal Detector

Minelab E-TRAC Metal Detector

Product Review (submitted on November 4, 2013):
I have (like many others) started this hobby with a low or mid-range detector and worked my way up as I got comfortable, and saw others with better equipment walk behind me and turn up stuff my detector went right over without a peep. So I have learned when you have a good spot and think it is hunted out, if you upgrade to go back and check again you normally turn up a couple more things. I have had a White's MXT and a Fisher F75, and recently wanted to try the E-Trac due to more readings actually hitting the ground. I have gone back to places that have been hunted out by the lower line detectors, and I have been with both my other detectors and turned up more old silver than I had found in places that had not been hunted by many others. This goes way deeper and seems to be able to even find stuff that wasn't even deep that so many others went over. Once you get your settings and learn it you will not be digging trash unless you just want to be sure - but after you dig that tab you will say I knew it was a tab. Other ones I have thought trash and dug a coin. They were not good at singling out like the E-Trac. It does a lot, so read and read more about it - but once it is learned I will not want another detector, and no longer feel like you're walking over stuff that someone with a better detector will find. You can't go wrong with this one.
