NEL Storm 13x14" Search Coil (Minelab Sovereign)

The Storm is designed to detect medium and small targets at depth which is unattainable for any other standard coils. Working with a slow swing will maximize its ability in finding not only large and medium targets but small targets which weigh less than 1 gram at 20 cm deep as well. Suited for finding coins, treasures and artifacts in the field of military battles in any territory. This coil is superior to standard coils in depth by 22% - 45% (depending on metal detector model) and in ground coverage between 30% - 60% (depending on metal detector model).

Coil is fully submersible, body is filled with epoxy resin and additionally has a black protective coating that is used for the protection of marine boats, and it makes it possible to use the coil without a coil cover. The coil copes excellently with high and medium soil salinity. Recommended for professionals.

I'm Happy

Review by Hikerdude on September 05, 2019

Yes, I am happy. I went out yesterday with my new NEL Storm Coil to a park and found the usual coins and a copper ring. My arm didn't get as sore as I thought it might get because of the extra weight (less than a half pound). I didn't find any deep targets, probably because the park is only a late 1940"s. I just finished the air test. My results. Wheat cent "one inch" deeper. Silver Dime " two inches" Deeper. Silver Quarter "three inches" deeper. Silver Half Dollar "three inches" deeper. And Silver Dollar "three inches" deeper. So, The NEL Storm was reading correctly a silver dime at 11", a Silver quarter at 12". A Silver half at 13", and a Silver Dollar at 14". Not to shabby. Deeper meaning deeper than the stock DD eleven inch coil on my Garrett ATMax. I was still getting some high pitched sounds, but the numbers were off when trying to get deeper. So I guess dig the deeper targets, if the numbers are off. Any way, I hope this helps. Good luck, and happy hunting.
