The products from White's Detectors are easy to use! The MXT is an awesome product. Just click the panel and start to find what you want, like coins and jewelry. I found my ring that I lost for 3 days! Thanks a million White's Detectors! I love it.

Most of my relatives buy cheap. My mom taught me how to buy quality. I never buy anything unless I know 100% it will be worth the money. You get what you pay for right? My first time metal detecting my uncle let me use his White's XLT, I believe I was only about 14 years old. It was a lot of fun. I spent 2 hours finding all sorts of coins in his yard, he taught me how to use it and I fell in love with metal detecting that day. But I've never been able to really metal detect until now. My first detector at 19 years old was a similar model to the Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505 from Radio Shack, my 2nd was another Bounty Hunter.

I decided I wanted one like my Uncle. A cool one that told you what you're going to dig up. I have never found any coin or object older than 1960. My house had way too much Iron from train tracks 10 feet way to use the Bounty Hunters. I have metal detected my parents house to death with the Bounty Hunters so I wanted to test my new White's MXT. After a few minutes in my parents back yard, I came across a solid ID for pennies 7" deep in a place I have detected before, and the deepest I will have dug, but I was 90% sure it was a penny. Being pretty deep I had a feeling it was a good one. When I pulled it up it was a 1944 Wheat penny, my oldest coin I have ever found! I wouldn't have known that it was a nice target without the White's MXT. Awesome VDI and depth reading. I knew I wanted a detector that told me almost every time exactly what I'm digging up but I did not expect my first time testing it to find a coin older than 1960. (Finally) I was happy. It felt like I dug up a gold nugget, even though it was just a penny, but that it was a wheat 7" below the ground is what excited me, that I had a detector that was better than both Bounties put together, AND THEN SOME! Every day since then, I always know when it's a quarter, a penny, or a dime and I have even been able to learn the detector enough to know if it's a nickel and not a pull tab and every metal detectorist knows.

I have owned the MXT for three years. It is a great machine. The MXT is a work horse, tough and rugged. The factory settings are good for the beginner or the more advanced. You can fine tune it to a sweet spot. It is a beast on relics and will almost suck the coins out of the ground. I like the tones. The only negative is the weight. I have arthritis in my elbows. I have made a harness to offset the weight. Overall it is a detector that does what the factory says it will do. I would recommend you read the MXT edge book. I give it 4.5 stars. Could be lighter.

MXT Wow.... Very Good Machine

Review by Guy C on November 21, 2014

I have had my MXT for about a year now. I love this machine. Yeah it took some learning but great factory settings. The pinpoint on this thing is awesome. It truly makes it easy to find targets with much smaller dig holes. I have learned that you don't want the dual control to be on nickle / pull tab you will never find a nickle lol. I went back to a park that I have been to many times with the dual control at first triangle and I found 4 quarters, 12 dimes, 21 nickles, 4 pop tabs, 2 cans, and 3 nails all in the bark area of the playground. I know I still can learn a lot about my detector but it does no good standing in the closet. I will get back at it soon. Thanks for a great product and support. - The Clark Family

Very User Friendly

Review by Daniel L on October 27, 2014

My hunting with the MXT has been of the coin and jewelry variety at local parks. I have found the target ID to be quite accurate. The pull tabs were pull tabs and tennis ball can lids and the screw caps were screw caps. I found a dime and a quarter as advertised. I look forward to the next time I take the MXT out because I know I will not be wondering if I, or it, have missed anything. I strongly recommend the MXT, even as an introductory machine to inexperienced detectorists. Remember the phrase that applies to this detector: "User Friendly." In fact, as you use the MXT, it will be like your own best friend. It's reliable and trustworthy and it will give plenty of good advice for what you're getting yourself into.
