Review by Nick E on July 28, 2015Works great! I am 16 and have been metal detecting for years...decided to have some fun and buy this little thing and see how it preformed compared to my $200+ metal detector. It worked really well! In fact I found a lot more cool artifacts (including some old jewelry!) than my $200 metal detector (in a single comparison test...overall the +$200 has found more just because it has been around so long) ...heck this cheap one has already paid for itself.
Would I recommend this to an expert....well not really, but for a beginner (or child) this would be great!
Review by Mike M on August 28, 2013I got it for my son's birthday. I wasn't sure if he would be into it, but when we got started he was hooked. We go every weekend somewhere around our little town and always have a blast. The best thing we found was a 1921 silver dollar. If you wanted to get a kid started, this machine works great without breaking the bank. A++ from us.
Review by Dennis M on April 8, 2008The Bounty Hunter Tracker IV detector was the first one I owned, it works in finding coins and chains, nothing big. Good for a kid.
I worked in parks and schools and I tried using it to find gold but it did not work well for this type of hunting, even though it was easy to use. Almost a turn on and go would make a good starter for anyone wanting to look for coins and jewelry. It is fun to use and easy to swing. Battery use was very good and they last better than expected.
Review by Richard V on March 17, 2008The Bounty Hunter Treasure Tracker has been a good coin finder. The first time I had it out, a lady came over to me and ask if I could find a ring she had lost that day. In less than 10 minutes I found her ring for her! She was so happy , she gave me $5.00 for finding it. I have used this in the park after a holiday gathering and been successful at finding coins, rings, and other items. This detector doesn't owe me a thing, it has been a lot of fun and I have met a lot of nice people. It is not what I call a high quality detector, I still like to go out and use it when I can.
Review by Robert S on March 17, 2008Years ago I used a metal detector but it never was like it is now! The advancement in these machines today is so much better! It seemed I spent so many hours finding things of no value. Having had 7 surgeries, including a triple heart by-pass, and now being 73 years of age, I made up my mind to buy a newer one and start all over. When I contacted Kellyco I had great help. I bought a Bounty Hunter model and I know with practice I'll be able to seek and find many interesting items. Cabin fever has me really ready like so many others I know, I'll have to call and get advice. I already have plans to go to the upper most point in Michigan in Copper Harbor to a mine and seek copper. They have a plan for folks to pay an amount and have a large front loader dumped to go through. We also have oh so many small streams and creeks, I'm sure valuable things will be in there, plus Michigan has many, many sites with attractions to attend, I'm sure coins, etc. have been dropped. I'm now having the time of my life living in Michigan we have oh so many places to seek with Spring and Summer almost upon us. I've made and have just about everything i need
to go at it in a very serious manner. I really hope I can send mail telling the great good fortune I had. Hope I'm not wrong in saying the best thing I did was call Kellyco. I feel I'm now the owner of one great detector. Soon I hope to be able to up-grade to a better one, but will still stay with Bounty Hunter brand no matter if I win or lose. I'm still a winner to be able to get out and improve my health condition.
