Nokta Makro Jeohunter 3D Basic System Metal DetectorI purchased this unit from kellyco on ebay so i figured that it would only be fair that i review it on thier site. I have played around with the machine and it is most deffinely a sensitive machine. I feel like you will find extremly deep items and the cavity detection is really cool. The coil that comes with the machine may find some coins but this coil is more for serious finds and not trinkets. I am happy with my purchase and will be using kellyco from here on out.on July 21, 2022
Nokta Makro PulseDive Pointer Waterproof PinpointerI was always a garrett guy but after Charles Garrett died they got real stingy. I ran ace models-great, At-pros-Fantastic everywhere but sea, and Sea hunter and Infinium-brilliant. I was last running a At-max and At-pro pointer with z link, Fantastic setup with hearing the pointer in the headphones and lost alarm. The At-max had some great features and would like another. What got me was Everyone's Equinox stories. So finally It got to me so I sold the At-max and at-pro pointer and got a equinox 800 and the Nokta Macro pulsedive kit with box and all the bits, 4.5" coil etc in yellow. I love the pulsedives pulse technology, Its durability, 200 ft depth, convertibility from pointer to handheld detector, Its adjustability, 48 adjustable frequencies to avoid interference, 5 levels of sensitivity, diver lockout, adjustable function, so many features!!..wireless audio to nokta green headphones too! However, Its not all gravy. Theres a few hiccups. The holster is strange, seems nice but theres a slippery metal clip and Belt loops but the clip Is attached by big bulky rivets that protrude into inside holster. You cant run a belt through the loops because the metal clip is sharp and Its awkwardly In the way. You cant remove the clip unless you cut it off, smooth edges and leave the rivets. Also, those rivets On the Inside from the clip, are a pain in the a$$ and Interfere with Inserting or retrieving the pin-pointer one handed because the slippery metal clip. So It comes out with the holster unless you 2 hand it. It gets annoying. Finally, this one Is kinda major. Ive noticed while using the land cap, which has holes cut out and a black membrane to Increase audio volume on land. This cap Is waterproof as in rinse-able, rain etc but NOT SUBMERSIBLE! The other cap thats solid with 2 seals Is the underwater cap. Anyway When using the land cap Ive noticed countless times that after a period of say, overnight or even 5 hours, or less with temp and humidity/pressure difference, like hot summer afternoon then cool damp night 3 hours later. The audio becomes noticably louder, meaning the seal Is broken, not broken as in kaput, but somehow Its no longer airtight and been compromised. You can see this visually too because when you screw on the land cap, the trapped, compressed air inside pointer, Is pushed against the black membrane and sort've bulges out the 4 holes. Then after said time or temp/weather/pressure/humidity variance, you look at the cap ajdnmkkfdmembrane and there decompressed. So what I have to do is after some time when I hear it get loud, I unscrew the cap amd screw it back on. I haven't noticed this with the solid underwater cap on land, just the land cap on land. It Is a fantastic kit that comes with everything, extra seals, o rings, etc. The pointer tells you how much battery is left by using green and red leds, had a diver lockout function, 5 sensitivity settings, adjustable modes, vibrate with audio and red flash, audio and red flash, vibrate but no audio and with red flash, or you can shut the flash off. It has a flashlight led you can turn on. You can adjust to 48 frequencies to avoid disturbance or feedback on main detectors. Its really great but just a couple annoyances.on June 19, 2022
Nokta Makro The Legend Metal DetectorI own a number of detectors and some will only collect dust at this point. I've been detecting for over 40 years and up until the simplex came out I was convinced it didn't get any better than that. I have 2 V3i's, EQ 800, GPX 5000, simplex and now the legend. I would put the simplex up against any machine out there for certain items, the numbers and tones give the target away. Sure there aluminum that gives you false hopes but then the legend came out. There are some things on this machine that up the game and keep you from digging junk. Its pretty amazing really, Im not saying its 100 percent but im getting there. The only complaint so is the lower and upper arms, not durable at all, I'd get a spare set. As far as depth goes....dont buy into those u tube videos, it's all worthless crap. The numbers and features that are accurate each time you find a coin....or gold....that is what keeps you going. Lets face it,,,,how many times are you out and you dig a quarter 10 inches deep? what is the reading? wht are the numbers saying? I can tweek my V3i and EQ 800 to go a tiny bit deeper...but all that does is send a mixed batch of uncertainty to the screen and you prob wont dig it. 99% of the coins ive dug are 2-7 inches most above 5, in the UK or east maybe some are deeper, but if you are like me you go back to where u found coins and start digging all the good tones first then work your way down from there and when you run out then maybe its time to break out the beast and go 2-3 feet deep. Until then, don't listen to all that hype about depth because if you are digging through and digging up every target then just buy a crappy 100 detector. The legend is the simplex but better. Ill put the simplex up against pretty much any machine any day.on June 17, 2022
