    • ★★★★★ Moves wet sand.

Review by Beach Rat on July 10, 2020

This is a scoop for the wet or in the water. If your arm can take the punishment, you can stomp it into the sand and, due to the ergonomics of the handle, backhand the scoop and dump the whole bucket lighting fast. It moves a serious amount of sand. If you are in a 100+ target situation though, it's gonna hurt. If you hunt the dry and expect to use this scoop or otherwise like to shake the sand through your scoop without water...good luck. It is not designed for that.
    • ★★★★★ It's a HOG

Review by Ivan on June 8, 2018

Great for clearing acres! As it is named (Brute Pro 2) this thing will move some real estate and doesn't play around. Its solid-somewhat heavy-and when you push down and start lifting you better have some arms and shoulders and strong back because its bringing some real estate up with it. I do a lot of water hunting in wet beach sand (South Texas/on the Gulf of Mexico) and I received mine the other day and took it out for a test run, first thing you notice real quick straight out of the package is as its name suggest IT'S A BRUTE, a 2 piece construction and easily goes together, second-it's long! Assembled its around 58 1/2 long (and could be made longer with just minor mods) and its not light, its 5lbs and its solid. It has a nice landing area for your foot to push the face into the surface your searching and its padded nicely with a black rubber that is professionally installed. Lastly, my water experience. It was heavy dragging it through the water beside/behind me and when you dig into the sand (this is where you better have some strength) it gobbles everything up! unlike with smaller scoops where you have to be near dead on the target, with this scoop you just need to be in the same zip code. Overall I really like it and im looking forward to putting it into use and excited about how much area ill be able to cover now in a shorter time. Overall Great Purchase!! Just be prepared to work.
    • ★★★★★ Really Is A Brute

Review by Rusty R on December 12, 2014

This bad boy isn't for the lightweight as it is a heavy, stout piece of equipment. Made like a tank and works great when working the water while wading and the visibility is bad. Exactly what I got it for. You scoop a lot of material which makes for a load. If you are looking for a beach scoop, not in the water, get a smaller scoop. If you want a BIG scoop then this is the one for you. If you tear it up, be sure to get the license number of the bus that ran over it.
