The small coils are great for high density trash areas, highly mineralized soil and hard to reach tight spots. The big coils go 10-20 percent deeper and cover a lot more ground with each sweep. All are completely waterproof. All Fisher search coils are electrostatically shielded and waterproof, plus all Fisher accessories purchased separately (including coils) carry a 90 day warranty from the factory.
*Please Note : The F4 was originally released with a push-on connector in January of 2010. On June 2016, it was switched to the screw-on connector.
