Sito 7" (170mm) Standard Sand Scoop
With hexagon holes, durability and ideal shape, it makes it perfect for beach and water detecting.
2nd generation Sito Scoop. Made of 1.5mm stainless steel - also known as inox steel. Width- 7 inches (170mm). With hexagonal-shaped holes, our scoop has an edge over traditional square-mesh construction. Each hole is laser-cut at 7/16" – so it's the perfect size for smaller rings and jewelry that other scoops tend to loose, but offers enough surface area to allow wet sand to fall through with a good shake. The big difference between our Sito scoop and others is the specially shaped flat part for the foot (thickness=3mm) which helps in digging for targets. When trying to dig, this flat part provides space to push down on with your foot, which is unlike the curves or sharp edges in many other scoops.
170mm scoop is emblazoned with a laser-cut Sito's logo.
Scoop Dimensions: 7" x 4.5" opening (170mm x 110mm)
Scoop Weight: 2 lbs 8.5 oz (1100 g)
Handle opening is 1.5"
*Please Note: Wooden handle NOT included - can be purchased at any hardware or home improvement store. We recommend an inexpensive wood or fiberglass shovel handle only. Handles are very easy to attach using a stainless steel screw. Bottom of most shovel handles are tapered and can be cut to fit these scoops tightly.

I bought the Sito scoop and it is well made however, the right handle was not easy to find. I ended up having to wrap electrical tape around the shaft to get a decent fit. If I had it to do over, I would get a extreme scoop as they make handles in wood and fiberglass specific to their scoop.
Do your research before you commit or you will have regrets like I have. -

Takes some time get used to. Once I get used to handle it should be easy. Very sturdy construction. -

Takes some time getting used to handling it. Once I get the hang of it should help.
