Glenn H., a member of the Kellyco Test Team has been actively metal detecting since 1971. During his lifelong career as a Deputy Sheriff, Glenn used his Metal Detecting experience "In-the-field" to search and recover critical evidence assisting in numerous on-going investigations.

Whites Metal Detector: Beach Hunter ID.

In Florida, one of the most productive areas for metal detecting are the beaches.  No matter which coast you choose, East Coast or West Coast even Panhandle or Florida Keys beaches, the detecting is generally real good.  With the millions of tourists we get every year, the amount of coins and jewelry lost everyday is amazing.  But.., with a large number treasure hunters in Florida we have to have top notch equipment to be able to find our share of goodies. The Beach Hunter ID had been out for a few weeks before I had an opportunity to run some "in-the-field" testing.  I take a detector that's in the box, on a shelf, and open it and assemble the detector exactly as you would.

Weather was good, sun was shining, ocean was beautiful blue and green so I figured I would enjoy my beach time whether or not I'd find anything. The detector was one of the easiest I have ever used. Ran smooth as silk on hot dry sand, wet high mineralized sand, and even in the ocean.  The color coded target ID Lights did everything for me except make the coins come out of the ground.  I knew accurately what was under the search coil. As I mentioned when my picture was taken, "For me the Beach Hunter ID is the answer for beach hunting.  This detector proved its worth to me by locating 2 gold rings and a 1918 Silver Dollar the first time out!"
