MXT Finds Union Button
I am sending you two pictures of a beautiful patina union shield coat button, that I dug at a Union camp in Loudon, Tennessee with my White's MXT. It was about 6 to 7 inches deep, on the back of the button it reads "Waterbury Button Co." I wouldn't trade my White's MXT for any amount of money....

M6-MXT Relic Finds!

Last month I decided to upgrade my 5900 to a MXT after seeing them out dig any other machine at a sponsored hunt I participate in. While waiting for it to arrive from my dealer I used my wife's M6 several times. One afternoon I got a nice signal that rang up +60. After pulling a 6" and still getting a great signal I continued digging thinking I had a belt buckle. After digging over two feet down I started to get some iron coloration in the dirt and finally scraped metal at about 2.5 feet. As I pulled handfuls of dirt away from the target started taking a round shape. I tugged it out of the ground and excitedly looked it over for ...

My Second year with the MXT(and a $2000 dollar ring)

The MXT justs keeps getting better for me. This is my second year using the MXT and all my finds are up. I found 14 yellow and white gold rings this year but the biggest find was a diamond ring which appraised at $2000.00. You can see my wife has claimed it as well as a small pinky ring. The ring was found while hunting a tot lot.

MXT Outstanding Detector
I just want to tell you thank you for an outstanding detector!!!! I bought my MXT a little over a year ago and decided to see what I had buried under my front yard. I started at the bottom of the yard and started making my way up to the flower garden. I was pulling up a lot of clad change and some hot wheels cars. I was amazed on how accurate my new MXT was on depth and target ID!!! I made my way up to the flower garden and got a strong tone with a target ID of 1 cent, 10 cent VDI +77 and 4 inches. I get down and start to dig expecting a penny. Instead I pulled up a "Fashion Academy Gold Medal"! My only question was how did it get in my y...

Treasure Story

I have been metal detecting with my MXT for around three years. I also have been reading your stories on the Internet for about the same length of time. I've picked up several good tips from the stories and enjoy them very much. When Katrina hit in 2005 it blew down a large number of oak trees on the creek bank which runs through our local park. As part of the cleanup the creek was dredged and widened around 10 feet. I began scanning some of the dirt piles and found a 1943 Mercury dime pretty quick. In about thirty minutes I had found several wheat pennies and a buffalo nickel. I got down in the ditch and scanned the freshly cut bank....

Nice End of Season Finds!

As the end of the hunting season nears here in the Northeast, and not getting out enough this summer, this year wasn't a very productive hunting season for me. Only finding a couple of silver coins, a hand full of wheat-backs, and lots of clad and coins and Lincoln penny’s, I had the opportunity to get out with three of our club members to a spot in Westchester County N.Y.

A Great Weekend with a White's MXT

First Find is a 1904 V Nickel
I was excited when you told me White's was making a "larger than stock" concentric coil for the MXT, DFX and M6. Although the 6 X 10 Eclipse DD and the 14" Eclipse DD 1400 both provide a larger sweep pattern, moderate soil mineralization levels in my part of the Country do not require the ground balancing characteristics of the DD design. For the type of hunting I do and the sites I hunt, a larger concentric design would be a better choice for finding deep old coins. When I removed the Super 12 from the box, I was impressed with the epoxy filled, spider design. When I connected it to my MXT, I was equally impressed at how well balanced it was. It is a full 12-inches in di...

Flying Dutchman Unearthed
Today Denny and I were hunting an old site in our home town. The site has had several homes and business's on it since the late 1800's. Most recently a store stood on the site and it was just torn down to make room for something else. This is the same site that Denny found his first silver dollar. I was hunting with my MXT with the 4.5x7 Excelerator coil. (Love that coil) We had been hunting for about an hour when I got a solid penny reading. I recovered this odd little figure from about 4" down. It appeared to be a man with wings having a fat belly holding a torch above his head. On the bottom of the figure it reads Moline (MP) Plow company. When I got home I got on the comp...
