Military Dog Tag Returned
The City where I live is tearing down several houses that are in a flood plain. Great hunting area since most houses were from the late 1800's. I started hunting a lot where a house was recently tore down. I got a nice signal And pulled a military dog tag. This is the first one for me and pretty exciting. The research begins soon as I got back home from detecting. I was lucky because the tag belong to someone from my hometown where I was hunting. I thought the tag was either from the Korean war or Vietnam era. I found his name & obituary on the web. He was born in 1930 and passed in 1967. Also listed was family in the obituary. I called th...

My White's V3i Does it Again!!
Here are some photos of an old spice can and the coins found inside in the Paso Robles area of California. The can and coins were found 8 1/2 inches deep under and old tree stump that had been cut many years ago. The spice can is from between 1940 to about 1964. The coins found in the can include Morgan Silver dollars from 1888 and 1806, a Peace Dollar from 1928, two Indian Nickles from 1936, twelve Mercury dimes and eleven wheat pennies and a standing Liberty Quarter from 1928. A Morgan silver dollar from 1882 is in the collection photo but it was found about two weeks earlier and in a different location....

M6 Sniffs Out a 1945 Quarter at 7 Inches!
My story is about this old place I have hunted many times with different detectors in Conroe Texas. It is an old spot that a TB Sanitarium used to sit. I thought the spot had long been hunted out because my finds there had dribbled to nothing. After I received my new M6 and donned my new 4x6 Eclipse coil, everything was affirmed about White’s detectors and hunted out sites......AWESOME! The M6 is truly a wonderful machine! I found this nice silver ring and 1945 quarter and the cool thing is the M6 with the 4x6 coil sniffed the quarter out at 7 inches among heavy trash as this site is basically a loitering site for the misfortunate and there i...

The V3i is so Accurate
I have been having a blast with my White’s V3i for two years now. I have been finding many wheat penny's and more silver this year than ever before. Most of the older coins are down six to eight inches. I am finding these coins around old homes in my own area. One of my most impressive finds happened when I was going over an area which gets metal detected a lot. It is located in a local park. The grass is thick, and it was a steep incline. There were hardly any coins to be found. There was lots of chopped up aluminum cans everywhere. I got a really interesting signal that I thought about ignoring. It was mixed from from VDI's 27 up ...

My BeachHunter 300 is My Dream Come True
In February 2012 I bought my BeachHunter 300. Since then you will see how happy I am with it. I started using it the next day and got tons of everything. I thought I was at a disco night club the way the lights were going off on my BeachHunter 300. I was getting hit after hit. My hits were one inch to China it seem like, from metal, to gold, to coins, to silver, to iron,,bottle caps pull tabs, bobby pins, and ect., and the lights on the BeachHunter 300 were right on. I am very happy with my BeachHunter 300. Way to go White's, and by the way 95% of this was found in the water. My wife just bought the Coinmaster GT last week and already started ...

A Class Ring Safely Returned to Owner

It was getting late in the season and I decided I had better get out and do some detecting before the weather changed for the worse. So, I usually just drive around and look for a yard to detect and then stop and see if the homeowner will let me detect. I was really happy when this one homeowner said “yes”.

The M6 Really Rocks!
I purchased my M6 in January 2013 and although I did not use it much for a few months I have been finding coins everywhere I go. My first White's detector was an Eagle Spectrum, and after 21 years I passed it on to my daughter and it was still working great with no problems. This M6 really rocks! It is simple to use and I like it far better than my old Eagle Spectrum. I hunt everywhere I can legally use a detector and shopping centers with the grassy islands in the parking lot are loaded with coins, and one of my favorite places to shoot. I was just at another shopping center earlier this morning and barely had to move the coil without having ...

MXT Finds a Union Eagle Breastplate
I recently purchased a White's MXT metal detector. Yesterday evening , September 1, 2013 I decided to search around my front yard near Smithfield , North Carolina. I had the detector in relic mode and had found two Roosevelt clad dimes then I got a strong signal of a 62 VDI. I dug down 6 inches and uncovered what I thought was an old soup can lid. When I recovered it and flipped it over I realized I had found a rare civil war breast plate. It is in over all great shape with most of the lead back still intact but missing the hooks. I look forward to many more relic finds and nothing can beat a White's detector!!!...

MXT Finds a 1827 1/2 Dime on My Test Run
I have had other detectors in the past and have been around others with the White’s detectors. I was impressed while on hunts by the finds the White’s machines would produce behind me and other detectors. I began researching the White’s machines, and I chose the MXT. When I picked the machine up, the saleslady said “happy hunting”. I said to her, “all I want to do is find a ½ dime”. She remarked, “That is a first, most people say they want to find a gold coin”. I said, “If I look hard enough to find a ½ dime, then I will be looking close enough to find a gold coin”. She...

The Eclipse 4x6 Coil is Incredible
I have been using a White's 4x6" Coin Shooter DD coil for several months now and it has been highly effective on my VX3 metal detector. Recently, I have been detecting at local parks and have literally found hundreds of coins. I'm sure many of those coins were missed by other detectors. The 4x6" coil excels at separating the coins from other metals in the ground. The coil's Target ID and Pinpointing capabilities are very precise. My deepest find so far was a dime at 8 inches. It was resting in the ground vertically, standing on its edge! Overall, I'm very impressed with the performance of this coil... It is incredible!...
