V3i Has Some Serious Depth

The weather is finally cooling so it is time to play in the dirt! I found these with my V3i at several depths anywhere from an inch to OVER a foot deep! The coolest thing is I went to a place my buddies said that has been hunted out. So I love to brag to them when my whites slaps shows them up. So thanks ya’ll for making a great unit.

V3i Recovers Lost Movie Prop on the Beach

What a day! I received a call around 2pm this afternoon from a guy from a movie production company that is filming in Long Beach Island (LBI) New Jersey. He explained that the lead actress lost a ring on the beach last night during filming on the beach. The ring was custom made by a jeweler in New York and is a big part in the movie.

Keeping the Grandchildren Happy

I have found gold rings before with my V3i, which my wife is always happy to have. Now I have been able to keep my twin grandchildren happy. The girls are 7 years old and these are their first gold rings. One is a 14kt ring and one is a 10kt ring but they don't know the difference. This put a smile on their faces and on mine too. Isn't this what it is all about?

V3i Had Done Its job Again!

On Saturday, June 23, 2012 at about noon or so, I received a call from Natalya indicating that she was at Muir Beach in Mill Valley, CA and that she had lost her ring earlier that day. The distress in her voice was clearly evident. She asked me for advice, and I told her that I could come down and help her search. After about a 2 hour drive, my wife Judy and I arrived at the parking lot of the Tennessee Valley Trailhead. Her boyfriend Andrew met me at the trailhead, and after about a 2 mile walk, we arrived at the small hidden beach.

V3i Finds a 1787 Britannia Coin

I set my V3i to Coin and Jewelry setting and was using my 950 loop. I got a mixed signal showing 6 inches… bouncing back and forth to iron then high tone… buried under tree roots. I dug down, found a nail. Went over the hole again and got a solid high tone, dug down 6 inches and out pops a large copper disk. I wasn’t too sure what it was, so I threw it in my bag.

V3i Turns Amateur Into Coin Monsters

I took my son Bryan out to a rural field next to an old church here in Northern Indiana to show him how to use my new White's V3i. We pulled out coins as fast as we could swing the detector. In no time my son was an expert at finding and centering over coins. By pushing the trigger forward and watching the frequency display, centering over the coins turned out to be a breeze!

V3i Finds Chinese Coins on the OR Coast

This is a photo of four ancient Chinese coins I came across recently while beach detecting on the N. Oregon coast, using my new Spectra V3i. The stretch of beach where I found the coins has lost quite a bit of sand this past while with the extreme springtime high and low tides; consequently, I have been enjoying the search in several acres of gravel and rock where many older items have settled in from over the years.

V3i Finds a 1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent

I was detecting for about eight hours on Saturday and hit about 5 spots. The first four spots which lasted about 7 and half hours produced nothing. Until I got to a local park and dug a 25c reading about 6 inches down and it turned out to be a 1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent worth upwards of $550!!!!! I was using my Spectra V3i. Thanks for making such great products!

V3i is a Confidence Booster for Me

I recently purchased my new White’s V3i and since then I have found 6 rings 3 gold and 3 silver and tons of clad coinage! I am still on the search for my first silver coin but with a detector like this I am very confident! This button was my first find with this amazing detector and told me one thing.... that there is no limit to what this machine can find!! It was 6 inches down found in my front yard where I have hunted many, many times before with other detectors.

Last Year's V3i Best Finds

Most of the items pictured have been found in private yards. The first 5 minutes of hunting after the winter broke last year out popped 2 barber dimes. I thought the yard was fairly void of good targets. The large cent was found in a farm field that I had eyed for several years and was finally able to get back and hunt again. Right off the bat a great hit and there was my first large cent, the only target I found that day.
