Chuffed

I have now had the E-TRAC since May of 2010 and was so pleased with its performance and suprised that my picture was in the National Magazines, Since then I have found serveral hammered coins, georgian coins, and the "odd things" and "what its". I don't worry in writing reports for the above as my club find these with the other machines ( I don't recomend ) However I got to tell everyone the power of this machine.

The Find of a Life Time!

After Hurricane Irene hit the east coast of the US, I was desperate to hit the beach even though I live four hours from the beach. When I learned the tides were perfect I packed my E-TRAC into the car and headed down the road at 5:30am. I arrived on the beach at 9:30 and immediately started hunting. The erosion was much less than expected but the large shells on the beach showed promise.

Unbelievable E-TRAC

I really enjoy hunting farm fields and recently got permission to hunt one near my home. I managed to find three Mercury dimes and the owner said I should check around the house. Not wanting to miss an opportunity I went straight to the big shade tree behind the house. Within 20 minutes I found my best find ever. A 1787 Fugio Copper. The E-TRAC is unbelievable!

Waiting for a Detectorist

One of the highlights of any hunt, would be to find something pulled from the ground, that has a date on it. Silver, Gold, actually any kind of coin, or relic. I'm excited just to get a dated dogtag, but my most recent find of this medallion/award has a real story to it.

The Joy a Detector Can Bring

In early July a teacher in the school where my wife works was asking around if anyone knew where she could get a metal detector. It seems that she was cutting the grass for her elderly mother-in-law, when the cable got caught on the necklace around her neck. Hanging on the necklace was her gold wedding ring, that no longer fitted her finger.

I May Never Find Another One

While detecting an old church yard here in Iowa, the caretaker had told me you won't find much here, it's been hit for years by many people, he said good luck. After about and hour or so, I got a good strong signal next to an old sidewalk. About 9 inches down there it was, my 1st morgan silver dollar, an 1882 in very nice shape. I was speechless, got me the find of the month on American Detectors metal detecting site.
