E-TRAC Finds Silver and Platinum Class Ring Missing For 31 Years RETURNED!!!

I just had to say thanks Minelab for another great season of hunts and finds with the Minelab E-TRAC. I sit here today reflecting back on the 2012 season and some of the great finds that I had made and realized that I had a story that I had a great heart-warming story that I just had to share with you. Towards the end of the 2012 season I had gotten permission to hunt a private yard in a local town and had no idea that it was to be the day that the E-TRAC would find one of my wish list finds and give me an absolutely priceless experience that I would not trade for anything and will always remember.

Diamond Ring Reunited with Owner

I received a call from a young man that’s in the Armed Forces. He stated that his girlfriend had lost a family heirloom in his father's back yard in Oct. 2010. It was her grandmother's gold and diamond ring. The young man wanted to know if I could try to find the ring. I told him I would. After several phone calls, arrangements were made for me to meet up with the father at his place.

1863 Civil War Token

I found this Civil War token at an old elementary school. It rang up as an Indian Head penny signal of 11-36 and I didn't know what it was until I got home. I was surprised as I never had one of these on my radar. That's why this hobby is fun, you never know what you will dig up next.

Best Hunt Of My Life

My best day of metal detecting started just like most others: hunting one of my old stand-bys. Today’s stand-by was a university campus, originally constructed in the 1890s.

1774 Two Reale on Baseball Field

Found this on a baseball field I've hunted many times before. I've found many Rosie's and some silver Washington quarters on this ball field but was stunned when I pulled this 2 reale out of the ground.

First Target of 2013. What a Coin!!

I decided to hit a small field closer to home I have always wanted to try. This field is next to a house that was torn down a few years ago. It was an old home. So I get the E-TRAC all ready and start to swing. Ten feet in I get a solid 12-39 in all directions at 4"-6" deep.

Worked out Park No Match For the E-TRAC

I have been detecting since I was 9 years old and have owned 5 detectors over the years with number five being the E-TRAC. I had left the hobby for various reasons and at the time it was an easy choice since I was getting frustrated digging for an entire day and going home with $2 clad.
