Fisher 1270 Finds Quarters, Pennies & Canadian Coins
I got a chance to do a little land fishing with the 12 inch coil for the fisher 1270.I found some old school board land that has never been hunter in Loranger Louisiana .This place is really grown up .There was not a lot of trash as i thought it would be.The coil hunts good as long as you don't run the sen all the way up. With my 8 or 10 inch coil I can run the sen all the way up.I was still finding coins at 7 to 11 inches deep with the sen at 3/4 up.If i try to run the sen more than that i get all kind of noise. My first day i did ok I found a coupel old quarters, pennies and canada coins. DetectorPro Finds Coins & Gold Rings
J-man (my hubby) bought himself a new Pirate this week. Although we are both Excal users, he wanted something for a back up machine or for company to use. In the past I have owned the first generation Headhunter PI and the second generation Wader........both were very good machines so we wanted to see how the Pirate measured up to the Wader. Of course it is light weight and a very easy swing, the sensitivity is excellent and we were able to discriminate iron starting with a setting of 3. Headset is very comfortable. Coins were found as deep as 10 inches and a gold plated ring was found at 6 inches......loud and clear! Of course iron was dug up just to see what the sounds were ...

1884 Gold Coin Worth ~$2,000!
I first got into the hobby of metal detecting when I was a little boy on vacation with my family. I saw a detector for sale in a shop window, it was 1975, and all it did was flash a red light when metal was nearby. I begged my parents to buy it for me and my father arranged to pay for three quarters of the price. Unfortunately, it didn't work for long and I ended up breaking it apart and making something else out of it. My parents never forgot it - but then again, neither did I. Decades later I heard there were gold fields in between where I live and the beaches of Sydney, Australia....

Minelab Explorer II Finds Old Silver Buckle
I've considered myself a Metal Detectorist for about 30 years. On and off since the 1970's, I had given the hobby up for several years and started getting back out there in 2003. About a mile from my house, in beautiful New Hampshire, there is a farm owned by wonderful folks. It's run full-time, 'round year - they grow produce in the summer and Christmas trees in the winter. Last fall they gave me permission to hunt their property and I've spent a lot of time out there....

I Was Excited When I Got an ACE 150 for Christmas Recently
When I was little I always dreamed of finding buried pirate treasure. So, I was excited when I got an ACE 150 for Christmas recently. This unit has really impressed me with how easy it is to use. I've quickly been able to discern signal variations that accurately and quickly allow me to locate and retrieve metal objects. Much to my surprise and pleasure, at least half of the objects I've found in my own yard have been coins, some probably from my own pocket....

Kayleigh Came Walking Over to Me with a Big Smile
While her mom was registering her at school, my daughter Kayleigh and I took her Garrett ACE 150 to have a look at the woodchips in the playground area. I was swinging on the swing and Kayleigh came walking over to me with a big smile. She handed me a ring. ...

Garrett Ace 250 Pays For Itself In Just Two Weeks
About two weeks after purchasing the ACE 250, I headed to the beach to hunt. Not long after, I got a signal that hit just below the nickel slot, so I decided to dig. In the second trowel of sand, out falls a white ring!...

Garrett Ace 250 Finds What Others Can't
I've been hunting about 37 years and I recently went to a field where an open hunt was held about 8 years ago. I've hunted the site with one of your competitor's metal detectors, a $900 unit, and only found several dimes, so I figured the field was about hunted out....

Gold, Silver & Jewelry Discoveries Made With Ace "Down Under"
I have been using my Ace 250 in Australia since February 2005. As a relative newcomer to coin and treasure detecting I have found my Ace 250 to be the best thing since sliced bread. It is light, easy to swing and the controls are so easy to operate. It has very impressive depth and functionality for the price that more than rivals some of the more expensive machines on the market....
