Explorer SE Finds 1920 Wheat Penny 8" Down
I was able to get out today with my Minelab SE and the new 6 inch DD Excelerator coil. This coil has proven to be an exceptional coil for me. It is hot on small gold items and coins. The deepest coin I've dug was a 1920 wheat penny from 8 inches down with this coil. It has remarkable depth for such a small coil and it's separation is excellent.
Today I headed for a park the 1940's. I wanted to see if I could find some coins at this spot today but all I found were some newer coins and a couple old printing plates. The 2 small plates were buried nearly a foot which I detected with the six inch coil. This 6 inch coil has been very stable and I find myself hardly ever taking it off the machine. For the person who wants a true 6 inch coil which has great depth and separation, look no further because this is the coil!Good Detecting Larry
