What Will You Find?

A Find of British National Importance

I have always used Minelab detectors, my first one was an Explorer II, I then upgraded to the Explorer SE Pro. My birthday was comning up and my partner [Sue] bought me the E-TRAC ,reports said it would make your land like new so I gave it a go.

I went on land that had produced roman and saxon but didn't expect what was to follow. The area was done before with both detectors before the E-TRAC come on the scene, about an hour passed and this beauty was in my hand.

A complete cast copper alloy pendant that was chipped carved in relief it was recorded it was sent to the British Museum for recoreding. The researcher was Dr Kevin Leahy who is the national finds adviser and to date nothing has been found and no parallel has yet been found and dates to the 12 century.

It was recorded as a find of note and has been recorded as a find of British national importance. It just goes to show that Minelab puts the money into research and development and we reep the rewards, you pay for what you get.
