Just wanted you to know that the Titan 3000XD I got a couple of weeks back has really proven to be the best detector I have had in my 30 years of metal detecting. I have been using a Compass Judge 2 for the last 15 years and the detector worked wonders. Then I bought a Bounty Hunter EX on Ebay and decided I really liked the new digital readouts. But price was a big factor, my Compass had paid for itself several times over and I didn't want to put all of my retirement into buying just one detector. After much reading and comparing the features, the 3000XD seemed to be the right choice. When I got the 3000XD, it probably took me two or three outings to get used to what the detector was telling me. Once I felt comfortable enough, I started hitting all my regular spots. Thinking I probably would not find much, boy was I surprised, I was finding coins right and left. I guess I wasn't as good on my Compass as I thought. Last weekend I went to a local park where I have had moderate success before. There was a fellow there for a little while with a Garrett Ace 250 who was following the same path as I was. He would get a hit in an area that my 3000XD said it was probable trash. I said "don't bother digging there, it's trash," he just looked at me and said mine says it could be gold. It was a screw cap. This happened to him two other times but yet I was finding mercury dimes, a couple of quarters, and a standing liberty. He asked me who made the Titan. I told him Bounty Hunter from KELLYCO. He said that sure is a fine machine. About the time I got a signal that leaped between a dime and quarter and was about 4 inches down. I dug and to my surprise, I pulled out a sterling silver ring with a blue topaz heart stone in the center with a diamond on each side. The fellow with the Ace 250 was just as excited as I was. He said he probably will gibe his Ace 250 to his son and buying himself a Titan 3000XD. Thanks to Bounty Hunter and KELLYCO for the best detector I have ever owned, and I have owned many detectors. This detector is as simple as A-B-C to use. Example: Scan with searchcoil. When coil goes over a target, the detector will give you AUDIO SOUND. A-The meter will immediately give you a digital number to indicate identity of the target. B-Arrows on upper face of the meter will point and confirm target. C- Depth will be on scale, lower left of meter. Dig your target and repeat this process. Simple isn't it?
