What is White Infrared?
All infrared light is invisible - scientists call it the "sub-visible spectrum."  The infrared spectrum is actually made up of several "bands" with distinct variations.  The band we call "white" infrared does not rely on radiated heat or temperature differential.  Instead, "white" infrared is "beamed" toward an object and reflected by that object.  Our CCD camera chips are specially tuned to "read" this reflected light, and convert it to a standard black and white TV picture.  The benefit?  Incredible performance in low light, total darkness, any condition where visibility is a problem.  Infrared-enhanced viewing is up to three times better than a diver's view "through the mask" in identical conditions. Unlike "night vision" images or sonar (which require costly, customized display equipment_, the SeaView image is viewable with any NTSC compatible TV, VCR or Camcorder with AV inputs, and its unique enough to earn a US patent.
