Beach Hunter ID Finds Gold Ring, DFX Finds Antique Brooch!
I just wanted to write in and thank Kellyco for selling me some outstanding machines. I bought a Beach Hunter ID and a DFX. I went to a local lake where there's a lot of camping activity and a small swimming area. I found some coins and many bottle caps before the Beach Hunter ID gave me a loud signal on a non-ferrous object.
When I brought my scoop up I immediately saw the shine of a gold ring. It has 5 diamonds and 8 sapphires, my best find to date!
With my DFX I pulled a beautiful antique brooch out of the ground at a local park, about 6 inches down. As I found other coins in the same section of the park, I concluded that the brooch was lost in the 1920s.

Lost, Found & Returned - Platinum Wedding Band
I was on Treasurespot.com looking at the finds and someone had posted that they'd lost their wedding ring at a local state park. They were offering a reward for the return of the ring. I went down to the ocean front the next day and wasn't having any luck with finds so I decided to head over to the park and see if I could locate the lost ring.
When I got there I recognized the place he'd lost the ring from the picture he'd posted online. I got my Excalibur 1000 out and went over there. I found the ring in less than 10 seconds. I couldn not believe it. I spent some more time hunting on the shore at the state park and found a ring for myself!
I returned the ring to the owner by way of a friend of his and got the reward too.

Beaver Island - is located in upper Lake Michigan about 35 miles west of the Straits of Mackinac. The French had several settlements on the island as early as 1600, of which no traces remain. In 1847 a band of Mormons settled here and founded the village of St. James; many of its original buildings are still standing. In 1965 a treasure hunter found a chest of Spanish silver coins dating from the late eighteenth century on uninhabited High Island about ten miles west of Beaver Island.
Cape Henry - is located between Norfolk and Virginia Beach. During the colonial period, more than 75 ships were wrecked on the coast in this vicinity and many relics and coins are found in this area. During a hurrican in 1708 a fleet of 24 British merchant ships were cast ashore here. One of them had over 300,000 pieces of eight aboard, which were never recovered. In 1770 the British merchantman Gorel, with over 100,000 BPS in gold coins, was also wrecked at this cape.
