Garrett's latest "turn-on-and-go" detector!  

 

The GTAx 550 is a great turn-on-and-go detector, like the GTAx 500 it replaces, but with the addition of Bell tone, sharp audio response and the new improved Crossfire II searchcoil.

The GTAx 550 provides a versatile, standout performance that meets the needs of both beginner and veteran hobbyists. Beginners love the convenience and high performance of the GTAx 550's factory preset "coin" mode while veterans swear by the detector's strong discrimination and deep seeking capabilities.

The GTAx 550 uses an LCD display panel to deliver a wealth of information about the detector as well as the target detected. The target ID and depth measuring portion of the display is divided into 24 segments that allow for very accurate identification and depth read-outs in .5" increments. The display also reports battery condition, mode of operation, and discrimination settings.

The GTAx 550, although a mid-priced detector, has many features found only on top-of-the-line detectors. This makes it a good choice for the novice as well as the experienced detectorists.

Graphic Target Analyzer - Provides coin depth with conductivity and notch discrimination as well as automatic pinpointing.

Two-Mode Operation - Dual, fully-adjustable user modes, preset for "coins" and "all-metal" detecting.

When I brought my friends into Kellyco to buy his first GTA 350 & then his second GTA 500 we talked about this pieces of eight (B) you said you like to show it. Here it is hope you enjoy. This coin is silver. The picture made it look gold, but is is still one of the best one's I've seen around.
