When should you require a larger searchcoil?
It's happened to all of us many many times. You're detecting and finding lots of good targets. After a while the amount of "hits" become less frequent and the weak audio signals are letting you know that your searchcoil has reached its maximum detection limits. But there are still deeper more valuable targets in the ground. You don't have to leave those valuable deep targets to someone else.

By using a larger size (12.5", 14" or 18") coil you will be able to detect deeper, find more older targets and even search a wider area in less time! You are now covering a deeper zones and your finds are older and more valuable, but you can still detect deeper! When your 12.5" or 14" coil reaches its maximum detection limits, and the 14" can be as deep as 15" to 20", by using the (most) powerful 18" EXcelerator searchcoil, you can reach maximum penetration at 20" to 26" and dig out single coins. Deeper than 26" for caches, small and large treasures that other detectors simply cannot reach!

When should you require a smaller searchcoil?
The 5" EXcelerator coil is masterful in searching out older more valuable coins in "worked out" areas. It is extremely selective in heavily trashed areas where the 5" size actually "sees" coins below trash, even when surrounded and covered up by junk items. Jewelry is another area where the 5" EXcelerator proves its value. Thin necklaces and bracelets that are virtually impossible for other detectors and larger coil sizes to locate are usually found by the 5" EXcelerator. Rings are no match for this dynamic searchcoil. Whether gold or silver, the 5" EXcelerator discovers them with ease. Most users realize that one valuable ring find will easily pay for their entire metal detector purchase. The 5" EXcelerator coil is making these ring finds everyday.

The 12.5" EXcelerator II / EQ 2 Pro Searchcoil

One of the first "Increased Size" searchcoils, the 12.5" has generally resulted in adding 25% to 40% more depth versus a standard factory searchcoil. The 12.5" EXcelerator searchcoil does not stop at 25% or even 40% increased depth but has been reported single coin recoveries at 50% and in some cases almost doubling the depth of standard factory searchcoils. Use the 12.5" EXcelerator to recover even the smallest and thinest coins which are difficult if not impossible for other coils to locate.
