Who is JW?

JW (John White) is a second generation treasure hunter. He "caught the detecting bug" from his dad, who bought his metal detectors from KELLYCO! JW's dad moved the family from Wisconsin to South Dakota then onto Ohio, Connecticut, New York, Alabama and finally Florida. Lot's of country to treasure hunt. In Florida, JW and his dad were into restoring large artifacts, antique aircraft which is about as large as you could get. They even owned their own airport. In 1985, JW was heavy into detecting and had accumulated a large collection of coins as well as relics. Research led him to sites of old towns and even ghost towns in Florida. One of his favorite sites, an old Turpentine camp and sawmill yielded a crushed gold pocket watch, 2 gold uniform buttons dated 1878 as well as 2 crushed (false teeth) gold bridges. JW speculated that a falling tree did the damage that crushed the watch and teeth as well as the unlucky gentleman himself. These days J.W. spends a large amount of time metal detecting with a number of extremely experienced and very serious metal detector enthusiasts. As a matter of fact a number of his treasure hunting buddies have been seen numerous times in our favorite treasure hunting magazines and are usually representing different detector manufacturers in competition and challenge hunts.

JW's Expert Opinion Bounty Hunter - Time Ranger

"The Time Ranger sure gives a lot of bang for the buck. It's Bounty's top-of-the-line Detector having a lot of features at a pretty reasonable price. It's designed for anyone wanting a better detector for many types of metal detecting. Great discrimination for coin hunters as well as a meter system that I.D.'s with a numerical value read-out. Relic Hunters will like the lightweight features along with the 3-tone audio system. Submersible coil makes it easy to hunt beaches, lakes and ponds for coins and rings. It's definitely a good buy for the serious hunter or even a beginner that wants an automatic easy-to-use detector."

White's DFX

"White's Electronics Newest metal detector the DFX is definitely one of the BEST detectors I have ever used. I spent a lot of time with the XLT Spectrum series and thought that was the best detector available at that time. I personally sold many hundreds of this model to my KELLYCO customers. However when I was given the opportunity to test and use the new DFX I was tremendously impressed. I really put the DFX through some tough hunting in the woods and scrub brush where relics were cleaned out years ago to beaches and even in shallow water as well as parks playgrounds schoolyards and the rest. The DFX was "Dynamite". Found numerous musket balls uniform buttons and other misc. Civil War relics in that so-called 'cleaned out' area plus hundreds of coins rings and other jewelry in the parks and beach areas. The DFX actually paid for itself with one ring that I found! I found it easy to tune and certainly VERY easy to use , I can highly recommend this Metal Detector to anyone from a first timer to an experienced detectorist."

White's XLT

"With a Name like mine (John White) it seemed only natural that I would take an interest in Whites Detectors and try to understand everything about the entire line of Whites Metal Detectors. I learned a lot about the XLT detector series throughout the years going back to the original "Eagle" detectors and then into the earlier versions of the XLT models and thought at that time they were the best detectors available. I personally sold many hundreds of Eagles and XLT's to many of my friends and my KELLYCO customers.

"When Whites Metal Detectors introduced the "E-Series", the best selling XLT got even better! It's very rare to get a high-tech sophisticated electronic metal detector to be extremely easy to tune and use but Whites continues to do it with the XLT. I've used it to hunt parks, playgrounds, schoolyards for coins and other treasures. I've used it on the beach where it produced numerous coins, and very valuable jewelry and rings. I've also hunted Civil War and Seminole War sites for interesting artifacts, and have had great performance from the XLT. The XLT has always featured SignaGraph, "What's in the ground is on the screen", it is a great feature still carried forward with the new XLT Spectrum E-Series.

"I would not hesitate to recommend the new XLT E-series to anyone wanting a great performing metal detector that can and should be used for all-around detecting and treasure hunting. From youngsters to Seniors, from beginners to experienced detector users the XLT will give you a lot of value for your dollars."
