Dear Kellyco,

Thank you for your generous donation to the Silicon Valley Gold Prospectors. Thanks to your contribution and commitment to the cause of education the children and their families on gold prospecting, treasure hunting and mineral collecting. We are able to increase awareness and provide the hands-on experience for school kids who are unable to participate in field trips to the gold fields, due to various factors. We appreciate your effort and all that you have done to ensure that more kids get educated and therefore, have a brighter future enjoying the great outdoors with their families and what it offers them.

Dear Kellyco Metal Detectors,

Our annual July 27, 2013 over night Club picnic was a great success in part due to your generous donation of diggers in sheaths, ball caps, bags, etc. (token drawing won 1st choice of items)

We had a day hunt, a night hunt, games, tons of food and lots of members showed. The night hunt surprised us with coins & tokens planted in gooey/nasty foods - with no lights, no pin pointers, no tools. Just metal detector, grab and stuff your treasure in a plastic bag and move on to the next gooey treasure.

Thank You! KELLYCO Rocks!

Harold White wins "Find of the Year Trophy"
Dear Kellyco,

I would like to take this time to thank you for your support to our club, the MAT/SU Dirtfishers Association. The end of the year award ceremony was a great success in no small part due to your teams support of this event. The company logo prizes you folks sent were an instant hit and much appreciated by the prize recipients. And might I also add, they are of the highest standard of quality. It's going to be neat to see them used and displayed in the field in the future. We believe your support will greatly enable us to draw additional new members next year and help us to host larger event hunts in 2013.

Harold White was the proud recipient of the "Find of the Year Trophy," winning it with his discovery of an appraised $5,500 diamond ladies ring! He also rang up a total of 78 rings for the season using a Fisher F75 he purchased from Kellyco Metal Detectors back in March of this year. He liked your company's customer service so much that he later picked up a Garrett Ace 250 so friends could join him in the rewarding hobby of metal detecting. You folks really instill confidence in the products you sell by you excellent advice and knowledge. Our members have received detectors and supporting equipment from you that has far exceeded their expectations so it is a no brainer in advising nonmembers to shop with you folks exclusively! Once again, we thank you so much for making this event a success!

Dear Kellyco,

On behalf of the Three Trails Historical Search Team of Independence, Missouri, I would like to thank you for your generous donation of 3 Gator diggers, hats, towels, and aprons for our 27th Annual Hunt. We paired the gifts with silver coins and made major prizes from the groupings. With the sudden rise in silver and gold prices, along with fuel prices, it's getting tougher for clubs such as ours to sponsor open hunts. Your contribution this year provided much needed help. Thanks again.

Empire State Metal Detector Association

Wow, did we have a good time. As hunt coordinator of the Empire State Metal Detector Association, I want to sincerely thank you on behalf of the officers and membership of this club for the kind and generous donation from Kellyco. Once again the trophy was a huge hit as well as the many items as prizes and giveaways! We had a tie this year, for the trophy, as to the most tokens found. The toss of the coin prevailed for Peter Teal who won again this year. He now has two trophies to display at his home! The Razoredge Gator digging tools were won by John Kotwas and Derek Spring. The weather was a little cool but a good time was had by all. We had between 75 and 80 participants. This event, which was our 41st could not have been the success that it was without your participation. Thank you Margaret and Kellyco! We look forward to our 42nd!

Czech Hunt Club Expedition Every year the Czech club has a major hunt for WWII military items. Previous years have uncovered significant finds that were refurbished and placed in museums throughout the country. This year, the third hunt meeting was held near a deserted former brick works not far from a pine forest. The weather during the previous week before the hunt was marvelous and on Saturday, the day of the hunt the weather was perfect, it was cool and although it looked cloudy no rain appeared to slow us down. 28 detectorists arrived, armed with metal detectors from many different manufacturers. Included were a number of older models. Click Here To Read More.

We have finally had a new hunter of the year. His name is Anthony Wheeless. The fellow, Norm, in the green had the title for many, many years and he came in second. I was third!!

Down by the seashore, sifting sand, the Metal Man saves the day

People lose things on the beach all the time. Car keys. Glasses. Spare change. "Whenever anybody loses anything they come in here wild-eyed" says Donna Scott, manager of the Land's End Motel in Cannon Beach. And what does Donna do?

She calls Metal Man. "And he comes running," she says. Rich Mulcahy is Metal Man. It's not a secret identity, just a nickname Donna gave him a few years ago, after Rich had made one more amazing recovery of one more lost, important object. There are folks who think of Rich as a hero, though. The woman in Colorado who lost a family heirloom ring - from her fiances family. Rich found it. Rich nearly always finds what he's looking for. And he's been looking nearly all his life.

Kellyco Supports Our Hobby.

Dear J.W
Thank you so much for all of the support that you have given to our hunts. Your generosity is appreciated immensely by us and by the relic hunters that have participated in the events.

The X-terra X30 that was donated for DIV VIII was used as one of our raffle prizes. All proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets was given to local charities. We raised $2,500 from the sales of tickets.

The Accusound headphones were given away as door prizes. The team towels and coin pouches were given to those that didn't win a door prize.

May you and your staff be blessed with a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. Don't forget is you can ever get away during one of our hunts, you have a slot waiting for you, just let us know.

Dear Steve,

Our event is now over and I believe it to have been a success. I think we will be able to give St Jude Children's Research Hospital several hundred dollars. I appreciate your participation, without it, we would not have been able to reach our goal.

I sincerely thank you for your assistance with our event.

P. S. The winner for Top Digger and trophy was Barry Hart of Kansas

Penticton detector club On behalf of the members of the Penticton Metal Detector's Club, I would sincerely like to thank you for the trophy and your generous donations used as prizes at our 1st annual Treasure Hunt this summer. The support we received from our community was absolutely fantastic.

Our Treasure Hunt and raffle was a smashing success. It was a gorgeous Okanagan day and contestants and visitors alike had terrific day at the beach finding treasures in the sand. The South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation is delighted with our donation of $3250 for the purchase of CT scanning equipment at our Pentiction Regional Hospital. This of course would not have been possible without your support!

Thank you again for your participation our club members would be most appreciative if we may possibly anticipate your valued contribution to our Treasure Hunt again next year.

Huntmaster Charlie Racey promised the ATe another great hunt on October 24th, 2009 and he succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. He even provided near perfect hunt weather with just a slight drizzle. The monsoon came later. How did you do that Charlie?

The field was seeded with an incredible amount of coins and tokens. There was a lot to win at this hunt as Charlie had approached the companies listed below for prizes and received all sorts of goodies, including metal detectors. The list is in alphabetical order as I know no other fair way to thank these companies.

  • Anderson Detector Shafts
  • Fisher Labs (Bounty Hunter and Teknetics)
  • Garrett Metal Detectors
  • Kellyco Metal Detector Superstore
  • Treasures Unlimited/White's

I cannot thank these companies enough. Some companies will only sponsor open hunts which is something we can't easily do because of the problem of permits. These companies are our friends and we need to support them too. Please consider buying your next detector or accessories from them. I am pleased to report that every company that supported us was well represented at the hunt.

The actual hunting began about 8:15 and was scheduled to last 1 hour, but lasted about 1-112 hours. 27 members were present, which beats the previous best that I can remember by 9. Great attendance! I wish mor. e could have attended because you missed a great time.

As always, tokens were exchanged for envelopes. Only when you opened the envelope did you find out what you won.

There were four quarters with keys taped to them. If you found one of the keys you got to open a treasure box with another token in it , and a lot of Wheaties and foreign coins. At the hunt only 3 keys were turned in, leaving everybody to believe that the forth key was still in the field. It wasn't true. Andy Benson had to leave before the prize distribution and left his tokens with John Holst. When he got home, he realized that he had a key. Charlie gratiously let him exchange it for his treasure chest on Monday after the hunt.

I am not able to tell you much about the winners, as there were too many to keep track of, but I can tell you that Scott Whitaker won the Kellyco Trophy for most tokens found.

Brian Warasila thought he had one the grand prize - a White's DFX metal detector, but he actually did not read the fine print which said in small letters: "You did not win the... "Whites DFX" 300. He actually won an old Radio Shack Detector from the 50s. Great joke, Charlie!

The grand prize winner was Bob Foy who really seems to do well at these hunts. Way to go. Bob.

After prize distribution many people went back to the hunt field and continued to find a lot of left over coins.

I would like to thank the members who attended for making this a great event. Also, thanks to the members who helped set up the field. Now if we could get more of you to come, it would be perfect.

I also would like to thank Charlie Racey, who spent a lot of time putting this event together. Charlie, this hunt was everything you promised it would be. When you see Charlie, please give him your thanks.

Lastly I would like to thank our sponsors. You are great! I hope we can return the favor by giving you enough business to make it worth your while too. Your support of clubs is one of the unique aspects of our hobby that makes it so much fun. Thank you and much success in the future.

Last, but not least, a very special thanks to Charlie's wife, Jenn, for putting up with all the goodies strewn about her house. It does get a bit messy preparing for a hunt, as she will tell you.) Thanks, Jenn!!

I am not sure who I should send this too, but I'm sure you will get it to the right person. I just attended "Diggin in Virginia" DIV XIV.

I would like to Thank Kellyco for donating the water for the hunt. I can't tell you how many times I thought, boy I'm sure glad there is bottled water at different areas of the hunt. When you hunt like we do, from sun up to sun down, you need to drink lots of water to keep your body from de-hydrating.

Thank you again
