For fifteen years the Sea Hunter series has been helping divers find treasure. It has long been the choice for professional divers such as Bob Marx and Mel Fisher, and has helped beachcombers find a lot of treasure. The Sea Hunter has been time proven over many thousands of hours. Over the years, enhancements and refinements have made the Sea Hunter the world's most advanced diving detector.
The "Lure of the Deep" will always call brave men and women to search the world's seas for lost treasures. As long as this yearning persists, so will the Sea Hunter. The Pulse Induction Sea Hunter Mark II is completely at home under water. It ignores salt water and iron mineralization found in salt-water environments. Its rugged construction can withstand the rigors of the deep, ensuring countless hours of dependable underwater service. The hip-mount and long stem let you scan beaches comfortably. For underwater searches, the Scuba Mate's shorter stem makes maneuvering easy. The Sea Hunter Mark II has been tested and proven to a depth of 200 feet.
The Sea Hunter Mark II from Garrett is the only Pulse Induction detector that completely eliminates pull tabs and foil without significantly degrading the sensitivity on rings and coins. Thanks to both Standard PI discrimination and Garrett's exclusive Discrete Trash Elimination mode, the Sea Hunter Mark II absolutely eliminates trash as it detects treasure right next to it. In addition, the new Sea Hunter Mark II easily adapts to any type of underwater or beach environment with your choice of four stem configurations. Best of all, this revolutionary detector can find treasure at depths other submersibles can't reach. A longtime favorite of renowned professional treasure hunters like Mel Fisher and Bob Marx, the Sea Hunter has earned a reputation for helping beach and surf loving coin shooters to find thousands of dollars worth of lost coins and jewelry.
Comfortable For Beach and Water Hunts
Like its predecessor, the new Sea Hunter Mark II is fast becoming one of the most sought after submersible detectors in the world by both treasure hunters and search and recovery teams. The Sea Hunter ignores salt water and most minerals. Its four stem arrangements include: the long stem with top, hip and under cuff stem mounts and the short stem ScubaMate for underwater searches.
If you want a submersible PI detector that really discriminates, look no further than the Sea Hunter Mark II. In Addition to providing standard discrimination, the Sea Hunter Mark II boasts a unique Discrete Elimination mode which enables it to discriminate unlike any other PI manufactured. Gone are those pesky pull tab signals when you're trying to find rings. The Sea Hunter ignores a lot of trash that plagues conventional PI detectors and can find treasure at depths other submersibles can't reach.
A longtime favorite of renowned professional treasure hunters like Mel Fisher and Bob Marx, the Sea Hunter has earned a reputation for also helping beach and surf-loving coin shooters to find thousands of dollars worth of lost coins and jewelry. This detector has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way - through reliable performance. Others boast of being the best Garrett offers proof. For more than a decade the Sea hunter has been the #1 choice of divers and beach and surf hunters everywhere. Fabulous treasure have been found by its Pulse Power and recovered far beneath the sea.
Thirty fathoms deep or on the beach the Sea Hunter's pulse induction circuitry ignores salt water and iron mineralization. No other circuitry can function effectively under such condition which are often found in lakes far from the ocean. Adjustable discrimination rejects foil, bottle-caps, pull-tabs, mineralized ballast stones and some iron pieces. Charges Garrett personally tested the Sea Hunter on the famed, inches-thick, black sand beaches of the California-Mexican border where mineralization is at its worst. The Sea Hunter's automatic ground balance performed flawlessly as deep target were found that had been left behind by other detectors that can only boast of their abilities. Remember Garrett offers proof!
Super Deep 10 x 14" Pulse Induction Coil

This graph shows the typical detection responses from metals in both Trash Elimination modes. At a discrimination setting of eight, all metals above NICKELS in Standard (Std) mode, and above PULL TABS in Discrete (Dis) mode, are detected. This example illustrates how the enhanced discrimination power of Discrete mode ensure that you can eliminate pull tabs with little or no rejection of most rings. Another remarkable innovation from Garrett.

One of Garrets best detectors
Review by Aenon J on March 16, 2015
Garrett Sea hunter mark ll is one of my favorite machines. I have found a lot of rings, knives, and clad over the years I have hunted with it. It is a deep PI detector. I will tell you I had to dig to china to uncover someone's case of beer they burried. My two best finds with it so far are 10k 10 diamond wedding band $1600.00 and a switchblade knife appraised at $230.00 and several other gold and silver rings , jewelry , along with lots of clad. I love my sea hunter.

Just recieved it last week, I absolutly love this detector. Water proof yes, Intend to SCUBA with this item. Tryed it out on local beaches, WOW ! this thing finds absolutly everything that has trace metals. . Also it rings out loud and clear. Im not a deep digger but this thing might change my mind. I've had multiple deep hits that I gave up on after appx. 12'' - 18". Cant wait till my beach scoop gets here. This machine is over the top. Supeior value.
happy with it

I bought this TYPE of detector because I like to scuba dive and expect it will be a fun hobby. But initially I bought it because I needed to find two property pins that were set in the early 70's in an area with some very heavy vegetation.
The cost of pin location was $150 per pin by a "professional service" and I found them both within an hour! Finding these two "missing pins" allowed me to then lay in the boundary lines with a compass and saved me another $400!
So now I've already recovered 1/2 of what I spent on the detector (pins alone) and still have it to explore UW treasure hunting!
It seems well built and worked great for my limited usage. I'll write another review when I've had more time to dive with it. No telling what you might find under the docks of a marina if you can get permission to look!

Had many Garrett Detectors over the past 45 years ( BFO FIRST) All were great detectors. Now have Garrett Sea Hunter, and AT PRO.
I use the Sea Hunter mainly for the beach it is the best and can't be beat.
Did you ask how deep sometimes too deep 10-14 inches paper clip today 12/18/13 and 23 coins.
It is built like a tank, made of real metal (lol).
I also carry the ACE 350 in my car at all times you never know

Review by Ron C on November 04, 2013
In my experience the machine is at its best when operated with zero discrimination. What that means is you will dig every target - which is a great deal even on so called "clean" beaches. So be prepared to dig sparkler wires, bits of zippers, single staples. BB sized metal, etc. Also be prepared, if you are careful enough and diligent enough, to recover targets as tiny as stud earrings. I recovered a tiny stud that took five minutes to find in the scoop sand when dumped on the beach - it was recovered in the rolling surf and was at least six inches down. This target came up so loud if it had been one of my land machines I would have thought it was a pound of can slaw. There were lots of other hunters on the beach that day using Minelabs, Whites and all the usual suspects. But I found this target. Now let's be honest, I've hunted for a long time enough to know there is a high degree of luck - you have to pass over the "right" target. But everyone in my hunting club agreed there are few machines that could have detected a target with so little metal - they agreed so much my group jewelry find took second place at our last meeting.
You decide - Minelab and all the other machines are for sure superb - look at your budget be honest with how much you want to dig and then take the plunge. I am a detectorist at heart so the more I dig the happier I am.
Best to all
