Glen Hansen did some of the original testing on the
White's Beach series and had this to say...
"The detector was one of the easiest I have ever used. Ran smooth as silk on hot dry sand, wet high mineralized sand, and even in the ocean. The color coded Target ID Lights did everything for me except make the coins come out of the ground. I knew accurately what was under the search coil. As I mentioned when my picture was taken, "For me the BeachHunter ID is the answer for beach hunting. This detector proved its worth to me by locating 2 gold rings and a 1918 Silver Dollar the first time out!"

BHID300 in Myrtle Beach.

I purchased a BHID300 from Kellyco last year. I took it with me on vacation last summer to Myrtle Beach. I really like this Detector. I found 2 Gold Rings both 10K... Several wheat pennies and other jewelery. It is very accurate with the ID Lights. All green were coins, the gold rings were yellow/lighter color. I used this mainly in All Metal in the wet sand and into the water few feet. BHID300 had great depth. Getting a good ground balance is key. You want to raise and lower detector until you get the same tone, then your good to go. Practice with some jewelery/rings so you can get familliar with the tones/sound...... Great machine! Very accurate!......... Thanks Kellyco !!
Thanks! ......CraigV ....KY

I have used the 300 to find coins on the El Capitana off of Ecuador. It performed as well as the Aqua Pulse detectors the other divers were using. It is very sensitive, I have also used it in other Pacific sites to recover copper, silver and gold coins from several sites. I highly recommend this detector.

The Beach Hunter 300 ID is wonderful. I picked up detecting from my uncle on Waikiki Beach in Oahu Hawaii in the early 80's. I just started on Christmas day and only went out 4 times since then and went for a total of about 5 hours. I found many coins, two rings and a few different gold and silver earrings with ease. The tones are clear when it is a good metal. I would recommend this detector to all newbies and experts. It is easy to use and I love how it works in chest high water. Thank you for reading my post. Good luck hunting and Aloha from Hawaii.

’ve been a metal detectorist for about 2 years now. Living near a beach, I have the best opportunity to metal detect whenever I want. This is why I bought the White's Beach Hunter.
Tuning and use is very easy. I got the right detector for the area I hunted. I found numerous coins, matchbox cars and 1 ring. Other things I found that are interesting were steel silverwares (knives, spoons and forks), bottle openers, rusted nails, a dog whistle and lots of those cheap kid rings from those 50 cent dispensing machines. An old-timer gave me this advice to dig all.
Yes, I do dig up all bottle caps, pull rings and aluminum cans. This way, I will not overlook anything and at the same time I will be cleaning the beach of trash.
I consider this my community service for detecting on this beach and making it easier to detect later. This is a small beach with 2 other regulars who are there almost every day during the summer. The best time to hunt is in the late afternoons when the beach goes pack up to leave and early morning on weekends and Mondays.
My oddest find is a gold plated proof 1972 Ike dollar. I know this coin could not have been in the sand for 36 years since it was shiny and looked like new. My only deduction is that someone dropped this coin recently.
My best one day find was another oddity, a silver 1943 Walking Liberty 50 cent coin and a platinum ring with 3 small diamonds. I consider myself a successful detectorist even though I have not found a gold ring or chain yet. This is a hobby for me and being outdoors is also healthy. Meeting curious people and trying to avoiding pesky kids is part of the enjoyment. It beats being a couch potato anyway.

I received the Beach Hunter as a birthday gift. I had never used a detector on the beach.
On my very first hunt, I found a very rare coin and the next day I found over $200 in gold jewelry. It's easy to use for a beginner and light weight for women. I love it and am going to buy another for my daughter.
I was new to metal detecting and was told to go hunting after a storm so that is what I did and I was amazed at how many thing I found on my very first try. I don't live near a beach and have to drive at least 100 miles to the nearest beach but it's worth it and now I have the fever.
