Before joining the Kellyco test team Wanda's metal detecting experience began in 1994. An important part of her job was using a metal detector to locate underground water pipes, cables and sprinkler systems. That experience led her into metal detecting for coins rings and jewelry and a position at Kellyco Metal Detector Superstore answering telephones and writing customer orders.

When an opening became available in customer sales, Wanda applied and secured the position based upon her previous detecting experience. On-the-job training to learn everything possible about each detector offered for sale by Kellyco was a chore, but learning under the experts on the Kellyco test team paid off and Wanda became certified as a metal detector expert.
