Who
Says I Can't Continue Metal Detecting?
This
report was produced by one of our metal detector Sales Staff
(Dennis). We thought it showed great determination
by a lovely lady who will not be slowed down by illness. It's
great to see her back metal detecting!
 For
more years than I like to remember, my husband and I used
to go metal detecting on a regular basis. We went
to parks, playgrounds, school yards and most especially the
treasure beaches on our Florida East Coast. It was lot's
of fun! We enjoyed our time together and the exercise was
great.
Then the
Parkinson's Disease and other disabilities made it difficult
for me to handle and swing a detector of average weight and
size. Walking also became more difficult as time
whent on and I thought this great sport was impossible for
me to do any longer. I missed one of my most enjoyable activities.
Dennis continued to metal detect but I saw he wasn't going
as often as he was when were going detecting together. I made
up my mind that I was going to regain some of my strength,
especially in my legs so I could keep up with my husband.
 Dennis
decided that I needed a lightweight detector with good discrimination.
When he told me he had a detector for me to try out and thought
I could handle, I was thrilled! He brought home a Titan
3000. Not only was it a beautiful metal detector,
all red white and blue, but it was very easy to tune and certainly
east to use. So much fun to once again head for the beach,
not only was the detector light and easy to handle, there
was no interference between the wet and dry sand that bothers
many other detectors that I had used in the past. The pinpointer
and meter was easy to read and showed exactly what was in
the ground, and showed depth of the object. I began finding
coins right away. The thrill of being able to detect with
my husband was back. In spite of my crippling disabilities
I was thrilled by being back doing what I love best!
