Treasure Stories from Minelab Musketeer Advantage Customers

After about three hours in this field I got a good signal. It was only 4" down and my hunting partner knew immediately what it was. The only Texas Unit button ever made, only a few have ever been found. It's a Waco Guards Civil War button, worth anywhere from $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 - but priceless to me!

Cold Weather Metal Detecting Produces 1914 Barber Dime, 1880 & 1884 Indian Pennies and Many More . . .
Living up in the Midwest, some of you understand what I mean when I say that each time you go out detecting in December, you recognize that it might be the last hunt of the year. I decided to take the Advantage out for what will probably be the last hunt of 2004. It had produced 25 coins, a few small pieces of copper tubing and a couple scraps of brass harness buckle. I found a beautiful 1914 Barber dime.... Click Here for the Complete Story

Never Underestimate the Treasures Hiding in Our Neighbors' Yards!
It is not often that we get to metal detect here in the Midwest during the month of December.
The weather- guessers have predicted snow for next week, so when I woke up to temperatures in the 40’s this morning, I made plans to hunt. I decided to stick close to home and hunt a residential yard or two. The house I hunted was built about 1880 and the front yard is about 60ft x 100ft. As I worked my way around the house...... 1945 War Nickel
Thanks for getting out the new detector for me. My sixth from Kellyco.
I've also "sent" everyone else to Kellyco that expresses interest in a metal detector. Anyway, I beat the freeze today and got out for a "field test" with the Musketeer Advantage. In a half hour I bagged a.... Click here for Complete Story

The 5" Excelerator Coil is greatest thing to date.
Christmas of this year Randy gave me an addition for my Minelab Advantage. The 5" Excelerator Coil is greatest thing to date. I used it yesterday for the first time in an area I have searched probably a dozen time before. This area has been a park for over a hundred years and also gave way to GAR picnic and a County Fair about every year. The problem is that there are so many pull tabs and bottle caps and other trashy items that on every occasion before yesterday I would get impatient and leave the area after about 15 minutes of hunting. I knew there are old coins in there but.... Click Here to Find out What Bill Found

Musketeer Advantage and the 5" EXcelerator Coil Helped Dig Up My Largest Silver Coin to Date!
About a year and a half ago I purchased a Minelab Advantage and believe it to be my best detector yet. The old coins I have found since its purchase have been unbelievable. My brother purchased a 5” Excelerator Coil from JW at Kellyco for one of the best gifts I could have ever asked for. Since using the new smaller coil I've been able to revisit sites that were considered worked out. I am truly amazed at the number of good old coins that have been masked by trash which are now detectable. While working what use to be an old country school yard, and is now a corn field I dug my largest silver coin to date. . . Find out what it Was

Found: 1773 Spanish Reale in Shockingly Good Shape.
We knew that there was a small and short lived trading post on the spot in the mid 1800's
and there were a lot of corresponding seated coins found. However, we also knew that it was in the area of one of D'Anza's camps as he mapped the inland trail of California in the spring of 1776. In those days there was really no such thing as coin collecting and therefore the reales that we did find were extremely worn and very thin. I know that the same night I found this one my friend found an 1812 reale. . .Read the Complete Story

What I found with my Minelab...
For the last couple years, I've been traveling to several countries in Central America looking for a secluded beach
to build a family vacation home. One thing I kept thinking to myself was that one day I'd bring a metal detector and see what was hidden in the sand on some of these beaches. A few weeks ago, I came across your website and found every piece of information I was looking for about metal detectors, so I did my comparing and bought one from you. Click Here for Story

One Last Trip Out Before Winterizing my Minelab Advantage
I decided to use the TS800 coil today on my Minelab Musketeer Advantage.
I set discrimination about 2:30 on a clock face, tuned it to max sensitivity and to fixed ground balance, as I usually do with the moderate soil conditions around here. Within 3 or 4 steps, I had a signal. Out popped an old buffalo nickel. Three hours and a hundred holes later, I ended up with.. Find out what else Randy found.
