Early afternoon, at Daytona Beach, I was detecting up close
to the sea wall under a broken staircase that lead down to
the beach from a motel. I was using the Minelab Excalibur
and heard a nice tone like it could be silver. I tried to
take a scoop but my scoop would not go into the sand. Something
was stopping my scoop from penetrating the sand. It was not
like something hard, so I got down on my knees after checking
for a signal again and began to push the sand aside. In amazement,
I
pulled out a burgundy leather jacket with a quarter
in the lining! I couldn't believe the shape it was in!
