Jerry S., a local of the area, came into our store today to show us what he found recently with his Minelab Sovereign Elite. Last weekend while metal detecting near a lake that only had about a foot of water left in it, Jerry's Sovereign Elite started giving him a signal that something was there.  Soon as he pinpointed the spot, Jerry dug around and found a brooch about 8 inches down.  After cleaning the brooch, Jerry was amazed at how beautiful it was with its hammered 24K gold, he then did some research on it and found that it was a "Circa 1920's Damascene Brooch".  Apparently the art of Damascene was practiced for Centuries and the art has remained virtually unchanged.
