Metal Detectors Super Store

For the last couple years, I've been traveling to several countries in Central America looking for a secluded beach to build a family vacation home. One thing I kept thinking to myself was that one day I'd bring a metal detector and see what was hidden in the sand on some of these beaches. A few weeks ago, I came across your website and found every piece of information I was looking for about metal detectors, so I did my comparing and bought one from you. I didn't want to spend all that much since I didn't know how much I'd actually use it, so I picked a Minelab Musketeer. And I got it with no problems and on time, which was great since I waited until a week before my trip to order.

After a gauntlet of airport security and customs, I finally had a chance to try it out. I was taken to a black and gray sand beach where an old fishing village used to be, littered with trash. I buried a handful of coins at different levels to get the feel for the different sounds, then I started looking for some similar sounds. The first few chunks of trash came and went and I found a blackened piece that was odd shaped and kinda threw me at first, then came 2 more a few minutes later. I scraped the crud off with my fingernail and could see imprints that looked like designs. I found lots of current coins on several beaches, and most I used for tips. but the three odd shaped ones I took home and cleaned up, they turned out to be kind of old.

I think they are 1716 cobs, one looks like it has been struck twice, the date and picture look shifted on one half. I have attached a picture of all three, the odd one is on the far left in picture. I didn't have time to use my detector as much as I would've wished, but it's gonna get a workout on the next trip.
