18 Pound Silver Bar Found on the First Hunt
With Minelab Explorer XS

JW at Kellyco Metal Detector Superstore sold me a Minelab Explorer XS back on Nov 11. Well, it more than paid for itself the 1st day I used it in St. Augustine, FL. Here is a photo of the 18 pound bar of silver, dated 1858, that I found about 18 inches deep on the beach. Over the next few days, I found two sterling silver and two men's 14K gold rings, with diamonds and semiprecious stones (onyx and star sapphire) on the beaches of Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. I also collected about $20.00 in change, a crematory tag, and returned someone's lost motel safe key.

One of these days I'll have to call you and order an underwater model so that I can scuba out and find the real good stuff.
