Hi JW, I got a chance to do a little land fishing with the 12 inch coil for the fisher 1270.I found some old school board land that has never been hunter in Loranger Louisiana .This place is really grown up .There was not a lot of trash as i thought it would be.The coil hunts good as long as you don't run the sen all the way up. With my 8 or 10 inch coil I can run the sen all the way up.I was still finding coins at 7 to 11 inches deep with the sen at 3/4 up.If i try to run the sen more than that i get all kind of noise.My first day i did ok I found a coupel old quarters,pennies and canada coins. The first quarter you see was found 11 inches deep inside of a coin pouch.pennies were at 7 inches deep and the canada coins were around 9 inches deep. The ground has about 4 inches of top soil and from there is all orange clay.I also went back 2 days later and found a lot more, I will send you those pics later.
