EQ2 Excelerator 10 x14 DD Test Story's

I was able to get out again with the New Excelerator EQ2 10x14 DD coil and was impressed for the 2nd time. My wife Lisa and I headed to what use to be a train station from 1848-1976. Unfortunately I didn't find any old silver but did find an old brass train knife. I was using my DFX with my own custom program and the new Excelerator coil.

Train knife The train knife was the neatest find of the day which came from a depth of 10 inches. This knife has some "meat" to it as it weighs in at 4 ozs. Wish I knew how old it is but it was still a nice find and the coil banged it out with no problem from that depth! The soil around this place is laden with iron deposits and all sorts of junk. The coil actually did very well at separation for its size. The only other stuff I found were a few newer coins from people visiting the Historical Marker.

Next to where the train station was located is a park which had a print shop on the property which opened in 1875. I managed to dig a few printing plates with one coming to life from 12 inches down. I also dug a few odds and ends and another pocket knife but this one was only 4 inches deep. This coil has proven itself to me and has a nice balance to it. It pinpoints well and does a great job at separation for it's size. The coverage is great and this makes a great coil for coverage in those large open areas. I believe this coil should make the detectorist happy who is interested in covering a large area with good depth. Thanks again for the opportunity to try out this wonderful coil.
